The worst thing IMO - and it's the exact same thing that happened with Hellblade 2 - is that the same people that snobbed or even worse, shat on the Sony formula® (ie "cinematic games") are the same ones that will now celebrate releases like this.

I still remember the shit-show that the original topic for the game was with tens upon tens of users parroting the usual"it's a walking sim LOL"/ "there's no agency"/"there's no gameplay whatsoever hahaha"/"FedEx game lol" by...watching the game on YouTube (not by playing it of course).

Look no further than adamsapple for this. Constantly calling it a boring AF UPS/walking sim. Till it hit PC/xbox then he stopped. Now he's out here posting promotional shots.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

Funny thing ? It has gameplay by the fucking truckload, there's stealth, there's exploration, there's action-stealth moments, there's Pew-Pew® moments where you actually get to shit shit, there's melee encounters, there's platforming, there's...you get my drift, and yet, the usual console warring bullshit...Mind you these are most probably the same people that defended something like Hellblade 2 - a game with literally no agency whatsoever, no real exploration, zero depth, questionable melee combat/systems and...a 6-8 hour run.

Just look at that Clit Eastwood tweets, you just can't make shit up, but oh, people get offended when someone expresses his opinion on a specific target demographic.

There's just no.real discussion to be had unfortunately.

Anyway, I've found it to be one of the most unique and better games of previous gen, there's really nothing quite like it, really hope it manages to sell some more copies to the X bros

Cheers

Don't let cunt Eastwood or jiz corduroy ever get to you man. They are a right set of cringe Lords. I don't think anyone really likes them....I hope.

First game from Kojima that I have managed to stick with long enough to learn to love it. Weird as hell at times, but also genuinely great.

Nice get if you’re someone who, for god knows what weird reason, doesn’t own a PS5 or decent PC.

What do I have to be salty about exactly?

Game is beautiful on Series X.

Not that I have an ultra wide monitor, but the fake ultra wide is a bit of a bummer. Though I don't think a single console game has native 21 : 9 support.

uses 'M$' - What year is it? Not 2002.
I wish they would fix the PlayStation version all users you interact with are listed as unknown

Yeah, I know, and even though I had it on my PS4Pro (and hated it, boring as f*ck) I still bought it on Xbox :) probably will never install it. But it less than I spend my daily lunch.

I've never played the new DC content they added either, let's see.

Hoping the 'world' is shared between Xbox and PC players so the PC folks can cheat engine highways all across the map, to make the running around less egregious and cut out half of the monotony.🤞

And it's going to stay that way motherfucker

It runs amazing on PC, so it should look good on XsX at least.

The Director's Cut improved the pace of the plot, added a new set of missions, and added fun/useful new gadgets.

It still has three fake out endings and you can get the Platinum only completing 50% of the missions, but these are gripes from autism.

The funny thing about it is that it is LITERALLY, LITERALLY a walking simulator. It is literally a FedEx game.

So I would say "yah that's what it is, you still need to play it"

Bro did you get a ps5 yet?

That was me talking more about the Pro and future systems like PS6. Way things are I don't see a reason to get a PS6.

Technically I have a PS5 but I'm letting a family member borrow it as I don't have much time to get use out of it due to working schedules.

Honestly, I had a feeling that after Concord flopped hard and cost Sony hundreds of millions and probably forced them to put their GaaS push into question, that it also pushed them into selling one of their own ips in an attempt to recoup what they lost on a failed and embarrassing GaaS release. DS was the most divisive IP, so they gave that away. It possibly was also to help with the contract regarding PhysInt

They're most probably not transitioning into a 3P publisher, they sold an ip, whose ownership has been the topic of debate for years, back to the developer, who in turn released it on Xbox.

To xbox gamers, it's a great game. Go fucking buy it. To PlayStation players, go touch some grass and quit worrying too much. To the idiots on X, who farm for engagement (you know who you are), you hated the game calling it a walking simulator before even getting a chance to play it. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, we see the irony and the entire change in perspective(singing praises) after it launched on your console. Doesn't make it any less ironic though and it's quite embarrassing for you too. Keep playing corporate X(formerly Twitter), it's honestly probably the only thing you're good at.

Aaand, if you bought it already, have fun, you're in for a wild rollercoaster ride!!!

Very optimistic POV but I doubt it. After all, if they wanted to recoup on Concord, couldn't they just file it as a tax write-off? It and the studio acquisition? And they've jacked up prices for PS+ and the system in most parts of the world. Also what happened to those PC ports meant to bring in a ton of profit? Guess that was hopium from SIE executives after all huh...

If people on Xbox want to play the game, they should play it. No issues there. No issues with Kojima getting ownership of the IP, either. He deserves to own his IP after how much he's put into the industry. All of my criticisms are squarely on SIE and the mangled optics they're sending through this, the way they're choosing not to communicate this multiplatform strategy clearly to their fanbase, and how losing out on exclusives to drive engagement to their console is going to negatively impact their console going forward.

But they don't seem to care. That's their choice, they're free to it. But if/when certain numbers start dropping, I'm not gonna mince words and pretend it's just happening due to magic or something. We'll know why it's happening.
