Yeah its embarrassing, this isn't Twitter, please don't turn this place into similar shithole.

Honestly, i don't have a twitter or x account because I think it is a shithole. This is a discussion board. That is a mess of social media that allows anyone to just dump a turd of a though out to the masses and in the case of cunt and jizz they are rarely based on reality or anything but their own hopes and dreams.

It's the one thing that annoys me on here more than anything.

So I am absolutely smashing this game. Ive out like 40 hours in already and I'm on chapter 3, just five starring peeps.

I got a hologram of the watcher from Horizon and Aloy stood next to our smeg head Herman Hulst.

Felt crazy seeing a genuine Aloy on Xbox, not some Fortnite skin or whatever.

Crazy times we are living in.

Good for future prospects, O.D and possibly DS2 a few months after its PS5 release.

Unlikely that Sony haven't locked it down for at least a year. But, I would assume that given that they've had zero marketing, getting into the third place in the chart (really second, since 1+2 in the chart are the same game) Kojima and co probably would welcome getting their game to Xbox players sooner rather than later.

Slightly related: I've done my part - bought DS and then ignored it to play BLOPS. As a data point, I'm all money, and no MAU as far as DS is concerned! (Will play soon).

I'm primarily an Xbox user and I still won't touch this game. This game is 100% not for me.
In theory the gameplay is terrible and repetitive and so far I’ve just pulled both triggers and walk stable all the time so the depth isn’t there at all for me. But it’s still oddly addictive. Kinda enjoying it. Hoping for bigger challenges later on.
Best upgrade of this gameplay loop would be a Mudrunners X Death Stranding combo, vehicle focused and super advanced physics.

I completely agree. The game is a grind, but once you have spent a lot of time in it, it seems to just click and I am completely (currently) invested in managing my trips to each person. Something about the loop of making good deliveries / Premium deliveries in the fastest time, planning out loops. Strangely addictive.

I know I am 5 years late to the party and I have insulted this game in the past, I fully stand by it that many people could find this game completely boring but something about the grind and unlocks makes it appealing to me. The bat shit story is the icing on the cake but I imagine many people could be either here nor there with that.

I think the "asynchronous multiplayer" aspect of it is what makes it truly special. You may be neck deep into whatever delivery run you're doing, and suddenly, there's a ladder. Placed by some unknown stranger out there. And it's like "cheers mate! I can do this!"

You mean I've gotta buy this game for like the 4th time? Well it might be worth another blast before the sequel drops :messenger_smirking:

Death Stranding is odd like that. If you enjoy the game then you can also see how someone wouldn't, but if you don't enjoy the game then it baffles you how someone can.

100% this! I really got into my strands last night. I have 25 available and seeing all the players that I have synced with, and shared the most likes, received likes is awesome. Like you said, seeing their items left behind is brilliant, and I love liking their stuff. It feels real and not "faked" if that makes sense.

hahaha! nailed it. When I attempted to play it the first few times, and within the first 3 to 5 hours I was like....What am i not seeing here, how are people enjoying this.
Most special part for me is the music, wish it would be there all the time, I know you have walkman, but I want it hit as hard as with the Low Roar song at the beginning.

And this! the soundtrack is brilliant!

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

I'm hoping a shared PC/Xbox world means people will be liberally using cheat engine to populate the world with crazy shit, lol.

Yea I don't even recommend it to people because it just doesn't seem like the kind of game most people would like. I didn't even think I would like it but it was free on PS+ and I was bored. It just clicked with me though. Really my only complaint is they need to let us control the music and when it plays or they need to have the music playing more often. When they did have the music playing it elevated the experience.

Glad Mattyp Mattyp loves death stranding now that it’s on Xbox after trashing it for years on PlayStation!

Amazing what a different plastic box can do :goog_wink:

Am I right DenchDeckard DenchDeckard ?

If I'd given the game 8 hours on my ps5 I would have just completed it there. The xbox release just made me dedicate the time.

I like this narrative though. Like I hated the game until it was on xbox. Such a weird way of thinking. The xbox launch just made me play it the weekend it dropped because of the surprise launch. If they announced it a month ago or something I would have never even bought it.

Me coming onto this thread and seeing the Xbox Brethren show love to Death Stranding.

Hell Yeah Yes GIF by PlayStation

I played the game for the first time about a year ago, I'm currently on my second playthrough and currently grinding to get all the roads built, just a heads up, it's better to build the roads and contribute materials after the area has connected to the Chiral Network, that way other players can or have contribute to the roads too and you don't have to grind and get 6000 or whatever ceramics.

Dench, with all due respect, that doesn't make sense, like , at all 😁

Glad that you're enjoying the game though.

I've always said that DS is one of THE best games of the previous generation but...console wars = serious business apparently...

What a pathetic look for PlayStation. Hopefully the next CEO gets off Kojima’s nuts and tells him to make his literal walking simulator with his own money and engine.

Yep. It's the most interesting online implementation we've seen since the Souls messaging/invasion system. I post this a lot but it's basically the video game embodiment of this:
