Death Stranding Director’s Cut Is Currently 2nd Top-Paid Game On Xbox Store

Death Stranding slowly became associated with the PlayStation platform over the five years since its release. However, the entry made a surprising debut on the Xbox Store when its exclusivity period had ended. Many thought the AAA title would likely fail to make it big on the Microsoft platform, but new results suggest otherwise.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut is currently the second most top-paid game on the Xbox Store. The game has surpassed many other giants popular in the gaming industry at the moment, with only Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 ahead of it.

Launching it at 50% of the price was a great idea and has helped a lot.

It really was a smart launch. There was no need for great marketing because the impact of the arrival to XBOX and its repercussion was going to do the job. Putting the game in a privileged place and high visibility in the Xbox Store and the price has also helped.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
it's been 2nd behind CoD only for the last two weeks, since it launched.

Smart of them to not launch a delayed port at full price.

I thought the first was Hellblade II.
Hellblade II does not actually simulate the finer intricacies of the great walking experiment. Death Stranding expertly simulates the balance aspect of bipedalism, threatening the player with the very possible quandary that any sudden form of locomotion could result in a deathly fall.
