I'm not saying this as a positive or negative but as a simple fact.
A few years ago gaming publishers were fully using these companies to adapt their games for "modern audiences". They simply thought they would gain good reputation points and it would lead to good conversation around their products.
Now it's the opposite, there is clearly a target audience that is completely fed up and if you support this stuff it has become the easiest way to create controversies around your product online. Controversies that in certain cases can be highly damaging ( see Concord and the Ubisoft stuff).
Publishers can't ignore this.

Then you accused the list originator of harassment and I correctly inform you the original harasser was Sweet Baby Inc with proof. The list is the same that was on SBI’s site. There was no call for harassment by the guy. This would have blown over as there were 6,000 or so people following until Kindred pulled a Streisand effect and amplified it. Now it’s over 400,000 and SBI is known so much, you have SquareEnix’s CEO commenting on the company in investor calls and having their logo removed from SBI’s site.

Woke cringe will die out in a matter of time, it's a reaction and overcorrection from the last 20 years. They won't be gone, just moderated as time moves on and society progresses. Inclusive ideas aren't bad, and it's not co-opted by evil people with scheming intent. It's just the way some cringe people approach it, it's sometimes tone deaf, but also a sign of the times. The idea of bringing more people in to enjoy video games is a positive thing.
I dislike forced woke stuff as you can tell the cynicalness behind it, mandated by old fart, but keep in mind that most inclusion stuff is still really earnest and great (RDR2, GOW reboot). But the anti-woke crowd seems way more out of their depth and react extremely cringe. Just be measured and modest about it and just ignore it and play other games. Pretty easy.

This...the subversion starts at the source, i.e. how companies are funded. If their largest investors are muscling them into making DEI hiring commitments, that will filter down into who they hire for development teams. Which is why so many teams now are filled with a bunch of people who hate games and make games for their fat, ugly selves rather than for the larger market.

But I care about my hobby and what is going on in it. Of course I try to avoid these games....but its the worst solution of all and just leads to everybody loosing and that is not in my interest. So its fine for me when people calling this shit out 24/7 (while not buying as well). At least it doesnt hurt and maybe even increase the chances that this "agenda stuff" is vanishing sooner.

You are most likely speaking to a very small percentage of people that may cry out their masculinity is being attacked, or the rage-baiters on YT etc, but what you are failing to address is that there is a very large percentage of people that are tired of their games and entertainment being altered for a very small percentage of people that seemingly can't produce a successful game/show/movie etc based on their ideologies alone. While Im not in the upper echelon of my corporate ladder, I have seen my corporation license dozens of these third party companies in recent years. They range from mental health to self improvement and bizarre software apps no one uses because we are all too busy at work. I asked my director about this because id rather just get a bigger raise instead of having the company waste millions on so many of these ridiculous third party licenses, and was told that the company gets incentives for getting these self help and pro-mental health initiatives. The CEO gets paid more if he/she partners with these various companies and the board then gets paid some more if they pressure the CEO to hire them. The board is likely getting kickbacks from someone at the top who wants these companies to succeed.
My guess is that they are all investing in these companies and it's a scheme to pay themselves. They can either give their money to their employees or funnel that money back to themselves via other companies. It's just easier to have a front thats pro-diversity, mental health or inclusion. Or at least thats what they thought but now with the pushback, i wouldnt be surprised if these companies have their funding pulled.

I see it at my work as well. HOURS wasted on "feel good" sermons when what would ACTUALLY reduce workplace discontentment and improve work quality is TRAINING FOLKS how to do their jobs better. So do we engage in realistic and practical exercises to improve our produce? Nooooooooooo, better to sit in a class for an hour while someone tells us to be nice to each other, especially that unskilled loon that everyone has to carry because they have no clue what they are doing.
