I initially planned to place it horizontally, but I have plenty of space to orientate it vertically, so I'll just do that instead. I believe the stand is only compatible vertically.

That’s what I believed too, I just wanted to double check as if it was compatible horizontally I would have ordered one this evening.

Intradasting... The standard pros payments came in a week in advance of release. And the anniversary isn't out for another 2 weeks or so it seems they're taking payment for them earlier.

Yeah, I received the payment mail for the standard pro on the 24th and they took payment on the 31st.

I'd assume given that that plate size is the same and only the clip location is different that something like these PS5 Slim skate stands would be an option for the Pro if you wanted to maintain horizontal orientation (but I have no way to verify of course yet). I had a set of these for my OG PS5 and they do a good job of keeping it up off whatever you've got it on and keeping it stable.

Pretty sure Sony takes payment, and not just the hold, when they ship it. So when you get a shipping label has been made, your money goes. Then it all happens very fast.

You instantly get your tracking number and can look at that 50 times and it doesn't go anywhere. As soon as your like "damnt" it gets on a flight, which lands and is unloaded in 2 hours, then onto your local distribution center, then "out for delivery"
