So given that one of the better bargains on the 30th anniversary sale is the Jedi bundle of both games for both ps4&5 all for £19.99 I picked those up last night, I mean Jedi survivor on its own in the sale is £24.99, very strange.

So has Jedi survivor had a recent further patch or something in the last few days? I’m not really seeing any problems with the game on either graphics mode 30fps full reolution and ray tracing or performance lower res but partial ray tracing and 60fps
Sure the 30fps I have to turn on motion blur, but it’s responsive and surprisingly good to play and a decent implementation of motion blur to be honest (and I’m not a fan of motion blur as a rule)
However been playing performance mostly and it’s good to have that 60fps with partial ray tracing they took off the base machines a while back, very responsive
Compared to series x while I still had it installed and ps5 pro performance is far more responsive and smooth plus added effects compared to series x performance now
I thought this was one of the problem games? But maybe I missed a patch dropping the last day or so?

I don't think there's been any patch, I played last night and it was the same. The biggest problem is shadows flickering which is mostly observed on vegetation so if you're at the start of the game it's more difficult to notice. Having said that and despite the issues, I still think the current problematic 60fps mode is better than it used to be. There's also some aliasing on mid to distant objects but image quality it actually nice and sharp without the bluriness and visual noise FSR2 used to have. It's also pretty much locked 60 which wasn't the case before. I really disagree with DF that it's worse than it used to. My main issue other than the flickering is that I have to deactivate VRR because it seems to break the game and introduce screen tearing and stuttering for whatever issue.

Same .. most pleasant surprise is just how many games have DRS and are getting meaningfully boosted on the Pro...

If you have a VRR TV for instance, a game like Elden Ring would achieve a smooth 60 with RT AO. As it stands for me without a VRR TV, Elden Ring actually feels perfectly playable with RT AO (feels about as smooth as Performance used to on base ps5).

Another game, Ghostwire Tokyo is now playable at 4k/60 with rt when that wasn't possible before. The game Outward, used to be unplayable on console due to stutters. That's now solved. Sable is now playable for the first time ever on console as it has always been a piece of shit performance wise.

Only problematic game I've tested that is still a screen tearing mess is Warhammer Inquisitor Martyr (next gen update) ..with a VRR TV it's probably better but what a POS that game is. Banishers ghosts of New Eden is very smooth 60 fps now. Cyberpunk looks better than it used to though god damn it CDPR should really be patching it to at least have RT reflections.

Wish people would ask Asobo for a Pro patch for Plague Tale Requiem though ...I know the game's 4k/40 but it doesn't feel good even when I tested it in the 120hz mode ( I have 120hz but no VRR tv). That's one of the most stunning games this generation but no improvement in boost mode other than a more stable 30/40 fps.

Feel, Tokyo Ghostwire isn't 4K@60, the only 4K-ish mode is the original quality one which is capped at 30fps.
The quality HFR and Performance HFR ones are 1080p upscaled, the former has RT with framerate dips while the latter is 60fps without RT.

Also : the FSR in this game man...there's this granular look EVERYWHERE, shadows, textures, everything...
It's like someone smeared a moving, film grain filter all over the screen and it's a shame since the game would be looker if it wasn't for this problem...

Anyway, it's a pretty good looking game either way and also kinda fun, I say "kinda" 'cause it gets very repetitive and OCD Ubisoft-like due to its collect-athon aspect unfortunately.

Cheers

Thanks to @FUBARx89, we know there's more artifacts when using HFR On, the suspected PSSR mode or lower resolution one anyway.

I would personally recommend Resolution Mode HFR Off, RT, Hair Strands, and all the post processing active.

To avoid the glitch, simply switch back and forth at least once between Resolution and Framerate in the option Menu.
Thanks for the reply I'll give it a shot! What is the RT implementation in this game just RT reflections?

Yep. Would have been nice to have RE2R and RE3R RT features, even only on PC, but no it's just reflections for RE4.
No big deal at the end of the day, game looks great regardless.

Jedi Survivor is a big improvement in both modes but my goodness the 30 fps mode is amazing! My fear is now that this game has been labeled in the "bad" category of Pro patches, that Remedy will start removing RT features or otherwise mess up that Quality mode. It's in no way in the same category as AW2/sh2/outlaws/avatar in fact it's the opposite ...i think it's the best looking 3rd party Pro upgrade we have but people apparently don't play games in Quality mode anymore because if they did the rhetoric surrounding this game would be different.

Yeah I guess as still at the beginning the vegetation hasn’t cropped up yet.

My poor experience with hogwarts ps5 pro led to me flat uninstalling and just writing that £20 off as a loss.
Going back to comparing with the Xbox series version, that version has an optional HD texture pack which together with the main install still doesn’t come to the 83GB that the ps5 version does..
Maybe the series S has worked to Xbox favour in some few cases as developers have had to optimise and cram the same game into lesser hardware, that left the series x version with ray tracing mode that is way better than the ps5 pro version with ray tracing. The lighting model and fluidity on series x is just on a different level to the ps5 implementation.
Great game, thoroughly enjoyed myself with it on launch and was looking forward to another playthrough with prettier graphics and a different house, if portkey ever patch it further I will reinstall on ps5, but PlayStation and pro are not the platforms to play it on if you have a choice now that the exclusive level is on all other versions now

This vídeo and all the others I've seen shows its not present on the Pro.

Tried on the regular PS5 and its still there.

Sure you're mistakin the glitch for regular pop-in? Pop-in is present on both XSX and PS5/PRO. Only PC has better draw-distance

From minute 4:00 you can see the guy running on plains of grass and not one of them changes place, same spot on my PS5 changes the grass placement all the time..

I think you are correct.
