List of PS5 Pro enhanced games

It’s the same as in PS5:
So Bloober dropped both PSSR and the previous higher settings in the latest patch?

Because prior to the Patch someone posted evidence of the original base PS5 Fidelity lighting being present in Performance mode on Pro, and used a comparison similar to the one on the top to show how that orange glow was completely present in Performance mode.

Nah. I went to that room with the bullet holes on the wall that has dynamic lighting coming in and quality has the light, performance doesn’t. That’s with the latest Pro patch.

PSSR is still being used in quality mode.

Looks like TLOU: Pt I got an update to remove the Oversharpening of Fidelity Mode on the Pro. Now it looks like the base PS5 version, while Pro · Mode looks crisper (and still good, not overly)!
This was on base PS5 too. Too sharp image. Since it was fixed I started the game again, that's how big the difference was. Made the game hyper sharp on 4k mode

Whats the best setting for First Decendant, not impressed so far on Balanced runs close to 30 but looks a lot sharper than PS5 and textures more detailed

I see, so they did remove the upgrades after the patch.. unless the lighting improvements were limited to certain sequences/rooms. If you could please check that warm light scene when you got time, it would immensely appreciated.

Also because just found these on Era from Performance Mode, and IQ is waaay better than what I was picturing.

Oh man, that scared me shitless! The previous Pro mode was already extremely close to being oversharpened, downloaded the update and honestly couldn't notice the difference. It's still very, very, very close to being too sharp.
Massive improvement for both Fidelity and Performance though, both looking natural again.

I was playing on performance mode, but the quality mode only really has problems at the start with the grass/forest stuff. Otherwise, on the city and buildings, it looks pretty stunning. Now I'm playing on quality mode.

I really hope they release this on the next Switch. That game deserves so much more sales and hopefully a sequel. I might replay it. Full 4k now on the Pro?
I didn't realise it was playstation exclusive. One of the best indie games released recently

And yes to my eye it looks like full 4k 60. It appears to use a dynamic res.

Throne and Liberty really benefits from the Pro, sure the textures etc all look alot more higher res with lighting (either that or placebo)

Ok just tried darktide on PS5 Pro, it does dip in the 40's but I've played it on every platform the games released, and it looks good on PS5 Pro, like really good

Here is a vid

Dips into the 40's ???
Nooooooo, why are you doing this to me brooo ? 😁
Damn
You reminded me that I have to pick this up today, have a bunch of hours on steam, time to grind 👍🏻

You have to buy the "imperial" edition (50 Eurodollars) to be able to play it today, game comes out on December 3rd for Normal peeps (35 Eurodollars if you preorder it).

Just a heads up : the pre-access doesn't have haptics or rumble, it will be introduced on December 3rd with the "normal" release

I've just found the frame counter analysis that DF use and just using it now, its exporting but on average its 45-60

Should be there. I'm assuming you have a Pro? It's the stars reward probably down furthest since it's the higher tier of points.
I've got two! Still not there. My bottom deals are all collectibles and my biggest one is Black Friday for 100 points (but the only one I need to buy from there is Astro Bot and I'm probably using my points for that.)

So ...is it too early to start wondering if we're ever getting patches for the high profile games that havn't been patched? It's been 3 weeks I was hoping a few of them would be announced by now but the only game recently announced as Pro patched is Darktide and maybe Poe2 ...

Space Marine 2 and Black Myth are the ones I'm most concerned with, now that CD Project has crushed my hopes of CP2077. Was really hoping for Plague Tale Requiem too. Thought Hitman Trilogy was supposed to be getting patched but no mention of it. Thought Helldivers 2 was supposedly getting updated... No mention of that now. Returnal and Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding etc on the Sony side. It just feels like they're never coming...

What are the big Pro updates we can look forward to next? I suppose they would be Kingdom Come 2 and AC Shadows which I have high hopes for...anything else? Don't care about Pirate Yakuza.

SO resolution (im playing at 1440p) looks extremely crisp, lighting etc looks great and textures, a lot better than what I seen on SX, not sure on the RT lighting but the game runs mostly at 60 but does dip.
Fuuuck I just bought the 35 euro version this morning... I read online that it ran great, 4k 60fps. I don't want no damn dips.

Edit: Just read the other comments, if the dips are during cutscenes then that's totally fine by me. I just want the gameplay to be smooth :)

Kind of worrying to hear the a developer like Remedy spent months on the Pro patch for Alan Wake 2 and the results were not great in terms of image quality using PSSR. If it requires so much work then why would third-party developers commit to PSSR going forward? And arguably the games that look best on PS5 Pro are the ones that do not use PSSR at all, i.e. Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered and Horizon Forbidden West. And now we have Silent Hill 2 which has a 60 fps Performance that looks significantly better than the original Pro patch because it no longer uses PSSR.

The performance cost of using PSSR means that games are looking a little sharper than on PS5, sometimes more so in the case of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth which had sub-par image quality on base PS5, but with additional visual artefacts not present on the base machines such as additional aliasing (in F1 24 for example) or flickering/shimmering seen in other Pro enhanced games. PSSR isn't quite the win-win feature I was hoping for when I bought the PS5 Pro and that is a little disappointing.

Yeah it feels smooth, looks even better than my 3060Ti, it looks like Raytracing is also on, this might be one of the best Pro Patches yet, you cant change between quality or performance they just sort of give you the best experience with upscaled textures, 60fps, (Maybe Raytracing) etc, I wish more games would do that, looks really crisp aswell, wonder if its using PSSR.

Ok, good to hear. Can't wait to try it with friends. We're currently playing Space Marines 2 and I cba with the quality mode, atrocious framerate. Performance is ok, can dip during intense fights. I just want all games on the Pro to be able to run at 60fps, I don't care about 4K or RT that much.

pro mode seems to still have the sharpening filter intact. Not a fan. Why can't these things be a toggle? (Who even likes artificial sharpening in the first place?)

And it took me only 4 emails to Naughty Dog to annoy them enough to release this patch! 😅 I'm so glad it looks like before again on base PS5!

I’ll have to try it, I played hogwarts originally on a series x and picked this up cheap in the sale as I thought people said it was a nice improvement, but pro fidelity w ray tracing and locked 30 is just soooo muddy and uncapped is unplayable, like wtf? This HAS to be my most disappointing so far (own outlaws, Jedi survivor on Xbox series and not rebuying) there is lots of texture loading/popin etc this engine must be absolute crap or heavily cpu reliant to not scale even with a patch, and I only have a 1080p tv, there is no excuse for this given they patched it
Fidelity uncapped probably would need a PS7 to hit 60 and maintain image quality, this game ran fairly ok on my steam deck with tweaks, but ps5 pro fidelity uncapped runs worse than steam deck - and no that’s not an exaggeration

Going back to Stella blade
So I did go back to hogwarts and played around with the different modes etc
Performance is the ONLY way to play this.
I took my main video settings down to 720p trying to diagnose exactly what is happening with that fidelity mode
So not only is fidelity mode LESS that 720p upscaled, but also uses significantly simplified mesh models which is why it looks so cartoony in comparison to performance
How do I know this? Because 720p performance mode is sharp and clear and produces a clean picture with normal models, switch it to fidelity w ray tracing and 🤮🤮🤮 it’s soooo soft and you can literally see the difference in mesh quality very easily switching between modes.
Anyway I’m back up to normal resolution performance mode and they can go stuff their engine and fidelity mode up their ass!
I’m about to compare the pro performance against my series x with HD texture pack to see how different they look/perform in performance mode
I would expect the ps5 pro to be way in front of series x… but expectations don’t appear to ring true often..

Boots up both part 1 & part 2 last night after the patches
They look great, but part 2 is really not a “pleasant” game to play
Part 1 was great, but part 2 is just horrible events depicting humanity as pretty disgusting for the most part (no I haven’t completed it and I know there is discourse on this one, but glad I only paid $10 upgrade for part 2)

DSRemake
HFW
SM2
R&C
LoU1
LoU2

That's the list of games to get it. Maybe you already bought one digitally lately. Otherwise I don't have a clue. I'm in the US and I have a Ps sub

There should be more focus on how disappointing this games patch is

So it would appear Avatar is better than Outlaws and doesn't have the constant flickering on vegetation from the limited bits I've seen. It does appear to have some issues with water. But generally its good, because it means they must surely be able to improve Outlaws too. Well we can hope anyway.

Space Marine 2 hasn't received the PS5 Pro patch yet, but the framerate has improved.
I can't wait for the optimized update.

nah better they leave as its now, its better than base ps5 and there is probabiity we will see sh2 situation that after patch pssr will make game looks like shite and runs worse

Funny because I stopped playing TLOUP1 for the same reason. I just said 'no' to growing my misanthropy.

Every game with pssr now comes with a question mark. Cant wait to see this tested.
Yes, demanding next gen only game that had to be upscaled from kinda low resolution on the 60 FPS modes on base consoles is where Pro struggles, we're yet to see this or Black Myth which are the two best looking games that we haven't seen probably.

They had some extra time for this game it seems, wonder if they managed to make it look great
