I love the 2D Zelda and I want another one really bad but BotW and TotK are amongst my most favourites games of all time.

There are "hot takes", and there's just being plain wrong.

The game itself is good, and you are still getting that great game in this remake. But I don't think the remake fully did it justice.

The original B&W game boy pixel art meant your imagination filled in the gaps. Now you are just told that it looks like plastic and you can't unsee it. Plastic graphics and framedrops leaves much to be desired for one of the best Zelda games.

Link To The Past and Minish Cap are bangers, but my favorites are still OOT, WW and BOTW.

The world of Zelda benefits a lot from being able to simply look around, the scale of WW especially can't be beat, think that tower that rises from the ocean dungeon.

None of the 2d games have ever exhilarated me. My first was Ocarina but I did go back to play LTTP and ALBW. I found them to be fine but mostly forgettable. I couldn't tell you anything about their maps/bosses.
