Go back and watch Beastmaster from 1982. There is nudity, child sacrifice, attempted fetuscide, and fairly extreme gore. And it was PG!!!!!
Airplane has tits flashing right in the center of the screen and it’s PG as well. Logan’s Run too. Nudity in PG was very common before 1984.

Yeah, IIRC it was nudity "of a sexual nature" (i.e. sex) that got stuff bumped up to R. Stuff like girls changing in a locker room or in the shower could get a pass if brief enough. I think the gore effects making big leaps in the early 80's drove it as well. Plus big summer blockbusters that straddled the line between family and teen/adult audiences. I recall easily getting into a lot of R films as a teen, straight up buying a ticket, not buying one to another film and jumping theaters (though at times that was "the game" you played depending on the film and the manager) so I think the "soft R" and "hard R" distinction was more relevant then as well as PG-13.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
So is it optional for Series S? ;)

Good question. The official wording doesn't say that it's only for SX, just that it auto-installs for SX.

Xbox Install
On Xbox the base game install size at launch is roughly 87 GB (with some variation), along with an optional Higher Resolution Textures package which is 45 GB (with some variation). The Higher Resolution Textures package auto-installs on Xbox Series X by default.

Gotcha, I figured as much and I was thinking they prob didn't clarify that bit; but if it wasn't for Series S, they would have said so. I have a Series X so I guess I don't have to worry about it.
