I will wait for actual reviews but might grab a month of GPU to check out this and Stalker before I decide to buy them on Steam.

Since Alone in the Dark and Hellblade II I haven't really used my Series X that much this year. Looking forward for a reason to turn it on again. Hoping Indiana Jones and Stalker II both end up well.

I like how all the secret button and switch are highlighted in the tombs, and Nazi soldiers refuse to draw their guns and get in a fist fight instead.

I have good fun looking at who’s posting a reply, and guessing what they are going to say. I am almost always correct. Man genius.
yeah , i see people here saying that puzzles are too childish and easy , i mean did they saw an actual solving of the puzzle from the beginning to the end to know that ?

That's exactly why I'm excited it is 1st person. We've played this in 3rd person over and over for years. It's called Tomb Raider and Uncharted. This will be different at least.
But regardless of similar experiences, the gameplay doesnt look alright. Maybe there is a reason why most action adventure games are 3rd person and its best not to mess with the formula. Again i hope it feels much better when i play it but whenever i watch a gameplay footage it just irks me.

Skeptical on it for a number of reasons.

It's a great excuse for a try before you buy sesh with GP. If all is well then Ill cop it for the PS5 in the Spring.

Riddick was first person, made by the sane guys and was a truly excellent game.

You’ve just watched a video where the devs characterized the game as an immersive, adventure game. Not necessarily ’action adventure’.

I think the AI certainly needs some work (way too many Nazis just standing in rooms and robotically staring at walls) but overall it looks quite good.

Looks like it oozes everything that makes Indiana Jones what it is as a franchise, but without the dumb stuff from the last two movies, which is a good thing. I’m looking forward to it, it’ll be a great game to chill with during the holidays. It looks like it’s running incredibly well too, and the visuals look fantastic, so I’m curious to see what the final performance and graphical specs will be on Series X. The PC port should be even better with RT.

The only thing that looks kind of weak is the AI; they’re pretty dumb. But, if the action surrounding them is fun to engage with in-person, then I’m fine with it. Hopefully, this is a properly meaty title with a ton of things to delve into, different paths to venture off on from the main quest, engaging puzzles etc.

This and Stalker 2 will certainly be keeping me busy for a while lol.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

Yeah, kinda weird some want it to be an Uncharted TPS clone when it's drawing more inspiration from Riddick and Dishonored, both of which are first person. If the matter is that you want to see more of Indy, you're gonna see a lot of him.

just looks very heavy in movement! hopefully its 60FPS was just curious

It's ID Tech, it's gonna be pretty performant on console. The heaviness is likely deliberate to keep Indy more grounded, this isn't a Wolfenstein or Doom style fast run-n-gun kind of game, afterall.

The gameplay just looks extremely boring. I couldn't spot one thing that looked 'fun,' and an Indiana Jones game should be fun.

On the bright side, I really like the texture quality and IQ in this game. And the lighting looks really good! A shame that the gameplay is so boring and basic.

Good for those who are into it; I hope you all enjoy it. Unfortunately, not for me.

It's ticking all the boxes in graphics and sound department that's for sure.

I could so with a great Indy game. I just hope there isn't too much stealth and thats saved for key missions.

I'd rather walk around and deal with tomb traps and puzzles etc. Leave fighting to where its needed.

It looks fine but this type of game should have a third person camera for me to enjoy it fully. I might try it on gamepass first and then purchase if I enjoy ot enough

I've seen enough of these super carefully worded and crafted "deep dives" to know what's going on.This game looks like every other modern AAA video game, simplistic puzzles, limted sense of adventure, heavily scripted and basic combat and stealth we've seen a million times......pay no attention to me though,I'm jaded as fuck right now, lol.

If it ‘looks like every other modern AAA game’, you should have no problems with citing a few of these recent AAA games that look and play like this, right?

I’m just driving by this Xbox related thread in my middle-class saloon on the way to a lovely Michelin star restaurant in the village.

Look at that chap having an all-you-can-eat buffet for $20. How vulgar.

Seriously though, this is still one of those games where I can’t fathom if I’d enjoy it or not. The previews seem positive, so it’ll be interesting to see how the game turns out.

Add PlayStation to the thread title

So is it up & running on PS5 already or did they do some fake overlays

I'd imagine its nearly complete by now, so should be real.

Hopefully the game ends up great and sells millions of copies to the Sony bros.

The entirety of what we know about this game is extremely managed by Bethesda (incl previews), so I don't blame you for not knowing yet.

This game is going to inspire quite a few youtube essays I think, for better or worse.

Visually it looks textbook. Pretty much a faithful recreation of that Indy look and feel. But, hot damm, the gameplay is giving me Thief 2014 vibes with the stealth and acquisition of valuable treasures and I don't mean that in a good way. Combat seems pretty formulaic but it does seem to have some variety with the whip being incorporated and the AI still looks borderline brain-dead. This "short" clip highlights a seemingly very childishly simple puzzle, but it's one of many in the game, so hopefully the puzzle segments don't all end up playing like this one.
