I'm playing the game right now and its good, very good game, but not every year the most popular game is good, in 2018 Golden Joystick went to Fortnite, in 2021 to RE Village, in the future it could go to some free2play gatcha game, you can't just trust the populace, it turns into a popularity contest and most people don't play all games, you need a jury that played most games and have some actual experience in evaluating games.

With all that said congrats to the devs, its a good game and this is the only GOTY award out of the big 5 that they will win, so they may enjoy it while they can.

Lots of weird hate coming from journalists these days. People I always felt aligned with somehow have such sour opinions. Makes me rethink who I want to listen to. Some of them remind me of weird dweebs from high school with their stupid opinions. lol The point is, Wukong was a good game. It was very fun and I played it through twice. I enjoyed it more than Rebirth and that was due to the missions. I don’t get why Silent Hill 2 didn’t get best narrative. Rebirth was just a reimagining of Junon and the Gold Saucer. I don’t get how it shined above a tragic psychological horror game where a man is at a town to meet his dead wife.

I didn't buy Wukong yet but as far as I observe it doesn't force political or ideological agenda to our throats. That itself puts it in high place among games.

You know what: Wukong and Stellar Blade invoke 2000's feelings inside myself. Games made by gamers to the gamers. These games's agenda is to be fun and get played other people. I love this mentality.

The game isn't on the level of Hogwarts where even the name of the damn game cannot be posted without being moderated, but the general attitude that I see over there is not a positive one. Some are saying it being nominated invalidates the award entirely. So.....pretty much the same old shit over there.
