Literal blue hair in the back. None of the women except maybe blond in the middle right is attractive.

Okaaaay so their cinematic 3rd person game will be woke and the women characters will not be allowed to look cute got it

Guerrilla Games

This studio is going all in on horizon. In the insomniac leak we got footage of their Horizon multiplayer project. It is unknown if this is moving forward still or cancelled though. In addition they are also working on Horizon 3. And may be assisting with a Horizon 1 remake.

Why did these idiots decide to become the Horizon studio when this franchise has always been a milquetoast, dull game whose second iteration sold a fraction of what the original did? The excitement is just not there, some people like it when it's released, the journoids praise it of course because it panders to them but no one talks about it after a couple of months. Just make a new Killzone or a new franchise ffs

If anyone working at playstation has an IQ above 70 they’d host a showcase before 2025 and show off every single project I just outlined. A show with 9-10 world premieres would be seismic. Gargantuan. The fans would go crazy.

The stars have aligned for them because everyone here except maybe media molecule SHOULD be more than ready to show SOMETHING. The dev times have all coincided to where they should all be very progressed right now
I’m thinking they’ll stall some releases. If they start releasing all those games the next couple years then most studios will be at the starting phase for their next gen projects when PS6 comes out.

Nothing interests me apart from Ghost 2.

I hope the new IPs bring something fresh to the table... things getting stale in the AAA space.

Very dramatic
You say that, but it's stuff like this that makes modern discussion so fucking annoying. It's like lurking in some random thread on ERA and seeing someone who starts sperging about some irrelevant shit about the developer. It's THAT bad.

Doubling down on the dramatic ness

There approach to waiting until those games are near release to shown them off has been working just fine.

With PS5 sales dipping this year, announcing or showing something big would at least build some excitement.

Surely SuckerPunch would be up next as they’re developing a direct sequel to a 2020 game.

And?

Those people can just buy a PS5 when that gets revealed or when its released.

I don't see the benefit cause sales 'dipping" is irrelevant, they'll just be back when something is revealed, so their focus should be on making that reveal quality

I’d prefer they bought the system sooner, that way developers will see the marketshare growth and completely drop cross-gen.

I bought a PS5 not just based on available games but based expected games.

In most situations that would be stupid, but Sony set those expectations with PS4.

I’m not laying into Sony btw here, I’d still rate PS5 and Sony’s output on it as good, but it’s not great like PS5.

They need to get people excited again, like they did at E3 2017.

Ghost of Yotei coming 2025

Worth noting that 2020’s Ghost of Tsushima was announced at Paris Games Week in October 2017, nearly 3 years before release.

So providing this Yotei does come next year this seems to confirm that Sony now have a policy of not announcing games more than a year before release.
I agree, but a lot of us already knew that tbh lol

I think its a wise choice and I stand by it.

People care about whats in front of them and having a soonish release window allows for those other teams to work in peace without having to rush some build or something.

Let them market Death Stranding 2 and Ghost 2 as their 2025 games, that will move units next year and when its September 2025, they can roll on and move on to announce what will get folks buying the system again.

I don't see it doing any good making announcements years in advance other then getting a team to make a preview build and then have folks arguing about changes based on it still being designed. I think Sony saw how Activision, Rockstar and Ubisoft marketed and it makes sense to follow that type of lead. Show what is coming soon and them move on to the next marketing window after those titles release.
