Trust in games journalism, compromised by corporates and activists? (DA Veilguard)

I'd make a good games journalist. I know what I like..have been gaming for 30 years plus. Have modern, yet well sustained takes, am capable when it comes to inventive "hot takes" on subjects I know nothing about ..perfection essentially.

Seems one review didn't follow orders and had to be edited:

Ooof. The burn. 🤣
In fact, when Cyberpunk 2077 came out the first time they gave it a 10, and I told the director of the magazine that he was inept, and why did he give it a 10, if the game worked poorly on PS4 and consoles, and on PC could barely run it if it was a beast machine… I really wanted to discuss the reason. and I told him that he was wrong and not that he didn't know anything... And he blocked me 😂😂😂

🤣 Happens to me when I tell people that their opinions are fuckin stupid and to think about what they are typing. About cyberpunk, like a prick, I bought the tinned version, with the postcards and all that shit. I finished it but all I think about when I think about it now is the T - Pose. Was the stuff of nightmares 😅

Woke twitter is incensed that the game was accused of being influenced by SBI? Sounds like progress is being made to me.
If it's so good and virtuous, then why do they need to hide it? Just like with DEI, if it's so good, why is it taken as an insult when someone calls another a DEI hire?

Rhetorical questions, of course.

But over time they improved it... I have it on PS5 and I like it, so the game was resurrected and for the better.

Fextralife not getting a review code is shady as fuck. It is THE no.1 RPG site on YouTube and have covered this game a ton before launch. From what I could tell, they were quite positive about the game. They did have criticism but they never delved into culture war talking points. EA and Bioware publicly dissing them is a bad PR move. Good on Fextralife for calling that shit out.

Honestly, this review debacle is embarrassing for the gaming access media. Barring everyone for even having a slightly negative opinion on a game is fucked up behavior. A review is meant for the purpose of informing the customer about the quality of the product they are reviewing, so we as customers can decide if we want to buy it or not. Manipulating this process just so you can mislead the audience and sell more games is real shitty. Reminds me when the access media decided to take a collective dump on japanese games in 2010- 2012. It was a coordinated effort to bring down the east and push the west. Where was this positive energy back then? Fuck the corrupt gaming journos, their opinions ain't worth shit.
