There is not a shred of evidence supporting the idea major 3rd party developers will start putting bigger games on Vita. It's a simple wish. Now this is not to say there is no chance of said wish happening, but there is no evidence for it. See this where the nice easy to find line of being realistic vs DOOOOM comes in.
There is one thing, and it's the evidence, with numbers, that bigger games on Vita would be economically viable. 7-8 month ago, you could tell me this wasn't true, but this is now. So, the only thing we're debating thee is. Does the situation progressed ? Yes. Is there still a possibility or success ? yes.
Earlier, i would have tell you myself, if there is right now no reason for a company to put any selling franchise on the vita, it's going to die, or to be really niche. But that's not the case right now.
Extraordinarily weak pre-launch announced support, over a year of terrible sales (with, to be fair, one month of good to decent sales and another month of merely weak sales), and no post-launch third-party announcements beyond multiplatform and niche titles. If that's not a logical reason for not expecting a complete or near-complete 180 in support from the major third parties, I don't know what is.
I didn't say that. Again, why pretend the psp was the hottest thing and had crazy things from the start or even later. The psp had "big" titles from the thirds, but you know, no DQ, lots of spinoff from square.. I'm not expecting FFXV on it, but more hoping (see, hoping!) things like bravely default or sequel to psp titles, dissidia, maybe a FF remake, maybe a sequel to Crisis Core you know..
