Because it's used to troll nowadays like in news stories when someone is killed or something bad happens a certain group of people flood the story with laugh reactions.

I don't think it's an all out ban on laugh reactions but to combat the trolls.

Would using the laugh emoji in response to the hilariously awful dialogue in the "Bharve" scene be considered trolling? Or do you think they would more than likely interpret it as being "bigoted"?

It only makes matters worse, people will definitivelly spam laugh emojis if you keep telling them what to do or already namecalling them (bigots for laughing? Seriously?). I would.
Yeah now people would see them even more as insane, psychos, hypocrites, and cowards which people already view them as anyway.

I guess they up their insanity to all time high recently because of the countless woke shits both games and shows flopping and what happened earlier this month.

I wonder, will EDMIX EDMIX survive 10 minutes over there?
you too generous I'm sure I'd find enough funny shit within that 10 minutes to get me banned lol

yea I was just going to say, this might just be in context of what the actual post is about vs any laughing at all or something

Ya know how you always hear pundits say "people who post online would never say such things if their real name was attached to it". I would tell them to join random facebook groups. Holy shit. They go way harder on facebook than any of the anonymous social media sites or forums. It's basically 4chan. In terms of this DAVGroup, I don't think anything of value is lost unless you're going to troll or get screenshots to lol at somewhere else. There's a car group I was in that got taken over by similar people and became unusable. They also had specific beef with the laugh emoji.

I don't use Facebook. Are these groups controlled by the studios?
Seems like it's an unofficial group. I couldn't believe this shit is real when I first heard about it so I had to check it and yeah, that rule about no laughing emoji is there lol

That's a very specific type of person attempting to build a very specific type of community. It's not one I would enjoy being a part of, just like some other places we know. It was the same when I used Discord.

The reason you see people post so many disclaimers before they make a statement these days is because they have learned to for fear of being misconstrued. That sort of place has people go 0-100 in an instant, so even people who are completely aligned with their ideals still walk on eggshells.

Normal people don't survive in communities where you have to constantly top up your keyboard activist score.
