If you think the Uncharted series is superior and out did Indy in every capacity then that's great for you. I'm happy for you. There's no need to get defensive here. Personally, I think the individual adventures across the games weren't that overly imaginative, but were still enjoyable in their own right and warranted a playthrough or two. You're conversing with someone who has the platinum trophies in UC 1-3 if that eases your mind knowing that.

But, I digress. This is a thread about the latest Indy game. Derailing it into an "Uncharted vs. Indy pissing contest" was not my intent.

Jesus this thread is a shitshow. Nothing like a Microsoft game that can rile up the troops. The game looks fine. Probably won't be a GOTY contender, but land in the mid 80's.

They even announced it for PS5 before it came out and it still didn't eliminate the brain dead console war takes. Truly dark times we live in.

Yeah, the sweet baby shit is a whole other topic. If people want to fight that war, go for it. I don't exactly disagree with them so if they want to make noise about it and not play games, in the end, maybe eventually the amount of this stuff will shift. For me? I want to play anything that looks good, period. Already played Flintlock this year, and would feel like a real moron if I skipped that. Didn't see a single woke thing in the game, and to this day no one could point out anything in the game that was woke because no one on here even played it. So yeah, anti-SBI crusaders aren't exactly my enemy, I just think they're often zealots and are missing out on a lot of good stuff. In the end, it's their loss. I can't imagine skipping Hyper Light Breaker over this stuff after beating Solar Ash this year. But if they want to? That's their prerogative I guess. I usually end up muting most of that stuff so I can talk about the games.

Indi has simpler animations during gameplay.

That ensures low input lag, 1 to 1 control.

Any game that has complex animation blending reserves a lot of milliseconds when you push the stick to get character going.

Anyone that considers gameplay as most important would prefer Indi approach.

This is the issue here. I thought people at least could easily praise or criticize Indiana Jones without labels of console wars thrown out.

But here we are again.

For some reason, they can't comprehend that an Xbox game could be criticized for genuine things that it may not be doing as good. To them, all these games are 10/10 perfect. And any criticism must be due to console wars.

This is a multiplatform game, FFS. Coming to PlayStation. Get over the Xbox tax.

A niche game like South of midnight can target a specific demographic whereas for other games it's different when you look at what happened to Suicide squad. Other companies didn't try to hide this association especially with past games. I didn't say solely with past games.

He knows it was there. We all know SBI has been consulting with game companies and due to recent events started to remove association. How successful they have been, how determined they were to follow through all the way, I guess, who knows, since we are having this conversation. The funny thing to me is, most of them are getting all twisted simply because of what they may have said in the past. Their own words are coming back to bite them.

I guess this needs to be said. You can still enjoy a game that has SBI involved. They are consultants, they will advise. It is up to the developers and how much time they have, how much they planned for it, to implement those and I guess how early they got them involved. Regardless, you ALL can still enjoy games that have their "touch" on it. No need to ignore it, just play it if that is what you want to do. Leave your ego at the door, lol and just play the game you are interested in.

One thing that everyone seems to forget when it comes to SBI is, they are not the ones forcing these companies to hire them. They provide a service and gaming studios are going to them. It could be due to a company wide mandate to be more inclusive, etc, etc. Who knows. You can do inclusivity well, but most of them haven't figured out how yet. Anyway, the company [SBI] itself isn't driving it. They exist because there is a need for their services.

Yeah, I'll have to check when I get off work again. Maybe I'll delete all of that and just head to the Xbox store and see if the full game is there, and re-download. It's showing on the app on my phone for 133gb but for some reason it won't let me download it remotely to my XSX (have 190gb free)

It works pretty well. You're basically a mod for the entire site and just make it fit whatever you like. And you can easily toggle it off and on on the bottom of the page. Sometimes I do that to see what else is being talked about. Takes 2 seconds. Then reload the page and it's back on.
