CG renders of Switch 2 factory prototypes and full specs have leaked on a Chinese website

Thinks buying more servers can fix a bad patch
you can play Ring Fir Adventure on a Switch Lite if you want.

is it optimal? nope, but it works. and the same is true for literally every piece of software available on the Switch, with a tiny handful of them actually only working undocked.
I can’t imagine people playing that on a Switch Lite lol

Switch Lite won’t work with Nintendo Labo too

uhhh, technically it does work with Labo, and I feel like it is even in the spirit of Labo to modify the Labo builds to work with the Lite.

sure, many of the default builds would not fit right, as it's designed for the size of the normal switch... but hey, it's an arts and crafts product! so adjust it! do some crafting!

all that Labo needs in most cases is the joycons, the Switch itself is usually only used as a screen and not vital to the actual function of the cardboard builds.

many of the builds rely on the IR sensor on the right joycon, and the gyros in both joycons. and that still works on a Lite 🤷

So will the screen fill the front of the “tablet” like the OLED Switch?

Or will if have massive bezels like the original Switch?

there's no way it will have large bezels. the screen size has increased, and that alone should make the system a good bit bigger than the OLED model. if it had large bezels on top of that, it would be massive.

huh? ok, I assume the circles are supposed to highlight what looks like shoulder buttons on the bottom of the joycons. but why would they have shoulder buttons on the bottom? that seems weird.

or does this show IR cameras on both joycons?
which would also be weird, given how rarely used the single IR camera on the current switch was.
It’s most likely for joycon use on its own? So that you have a trigger when you are using the joycons sideways? It seems stupid because you only have 1 trigger but I assume that’s it.

PSP Go had a dock and worked with a dual shock 3 controller.

It's funny how forgotten that feature is.
it was too ahead of its time sadly.
Yeah, I feel like everything forgets this and acts like Nintendo did it first. It reminds me how people forget that the PS2 has a rudimentary Kinect well before Nintendo went full motion control.

Technically the Sega Nomad could also connect to a tv way before even the PSP, and the older PSPs could always connect via component cables. I even have a set of those cables around here somewhere.

the SR and SL buttons are on the connector side tho like the current joycons.

these are on the opposite side, which would be the bottom while holding them sideways

Was it advertised? I don't think they pushed it enough. We should totally give Sony credit for this though. I think like Apple do with so many things, Nintendo on this occasion saw this feature and realised it's potential with the JoyCons and it was evident from the beginning seeing their launch Ad what they were going for and the vision they had. Things this generation could not have gone better for Nintendo and I've never been more certain that Nintendo have another hit on their hands with the Switch 2.

they didn't really advertise it much, but that goes for the entire PSPgo.

they were busy telling people that an all digital PSP isn't an issue, and had trouble selling that concept to people.

then there was this whole promotion thing where you could send in your disc based PSP games and get a digital code for them.

so between the all digital messaging, and this physical to digital service, there wasn't enough pr budget left to properly advertise the new features of the Go.
