by the smallest amount while consoles have seen a bigger drop that they may recover from. This could very well be a trend we are seeing here for years to come.
Look at the declines in console sales this year. Seems like its almost 50 percent down for playstation vs last year worldwide. Could be the start of the decline of console gaming.

Well it looks like the majority of Xbox users are.migrating to pc which will only speed up the decline for console as more people are introduced to pc gaming and start spreading word of mouth. Helping friends make decisions etc. It's going to be an interesting few years.
If only more devs would embrace PC. First party exclusives I understand, but games like Unicorn Overlord would've done pretty good on Steam in my opinion.
95% of Capcom sales this quarter came from back catalog sales, abysmal share for new games.
And PC was always stronger on long tail sales, one of the reasons Sony put it's game on PC.
Ok? What's that got to do with capcom's PC sales being flat the last 3 years? f2p crap is on the rise on steam. steam released overload or whatever that GaaS game is called. It's the most played game on steam last month too.
i'm not worried about the longterm health of rockstar and 2k. but the big pop of launch sales will be 30-50% lower than it would've been with a PC version.

Great for PC version sales, though I'm surprised and worried by how few physical sales are.
Definitely been making an effort to go physical the past year or two, but it definitely looks like a dying medium. Going to be kind of scary if it goes away completely.
