That was my point. There was only one thing in spider man 2 which legit got to me. That was the fight with MJ as the symbiote....

Because spidy was spouting some shit like " I'm sorry I didn't listen you, and your plight as a woman" type shit and MJ was shouting " I'm fed up of tailoring my life to the needs of men type shit" and I was like "what's this shit?"

And then the only other mild thing was miles being left to do missions about old famous jazz musicians. Because I'm a fan of early 90s hip hop and both my parents are music teachers I was thinking why are they shoe horning a history lesson in this game.

I suppose some could find it really cool though. I was just like. Of course I know who Charlie parker is.

I agree somewhat, but you can't really put any faith in hand selected previews. I mean, even trash like Redfall got positive previews. Probably Concord, too.

But we've seen nothing that shows there is any deep seeded woke elements here. Not yet, anyway.

The amount of games that gave me whiplash from preview to review cycles in the past five years or so has been wild. They're just ads to me.

The same publication will be like

Preview November 1: "we can't wait to explore more of this amazing world next month!"

Review December 1: "terrible level design really drags the experience down"

He's just saying that putting effort in a game's UX is proof that reviewers don't care? How is this the same as what this director is doing?

Although, I think he needs to define what he means by "Game UX" as I wouldn't call Horizon's systems to be easy to pick up/learn and understand either. Is he just talking about the UI? what does he mean really?

The example that comes to my mind in terms of presentation and ease of use would go to a game like Prince of Persia: Sands of Time with its simple menus, use of narration, and built-in hint system with the “visions," and of course, ability to correct mistakes via the rewind ability. Oh, I miss the series!

I don't mind cgi reveal trailers or whatever. The thing that stands out to me is that it seemed to be a dark fantasy setting and now it's like RGB world with all the colour.

I really enjoyed PoE so I'm hoping this is somewhere close to that but in a 1st / 3rd person.

Oh man, this game...its all fucked. Another DEI infested garbage.
Always wanted to try Outer Worlds but those characters design kept me at bay. Seems I made the right choice.
The cherry on top is that the Steelbook edition is digital only - code in a box. :messenger_tears_of_joy:
