I'm interested in what happened at the end there. Did the oni princess give up her life and transfuse her blood into Yanagi or something? Also, seems like she may have been part of a mercenary squad before she was in HAND?

Managed to win the 50/50 again and got Yanagi. 80 pulls total, but I had the savings. I really really like her playstyle. Kinda basic for a stance character, the stances more or less just function as a buff mechanic, but still satisfying to play. Seems really strong too, and she can create Disorder all on her own. Definitely going to be pumping up my Electric team FINALLY. I've only been playing her in the demo because I didn't pre-farm anything...

I'm debating going for her W-Engine, but it seems like it's only good for her. I can't justify the expenditure for a single-character equipment like that when I'm trying to stay light spender (30 day login thing + BP). I'll probably just skip it. I have the BP Engine + 3 different 4*s. I'm sure one of those will work well enough.

Playing the MSQ makes me kind of want to pull for her, running around with her in the city and HAND is enjoyable for... Reasons. Also I notice some cool little details like how the color of her hair ribbon changes when she changes stance. However I encountered a bug during the quest and can't progress on PC... Downloading the update on the ps5 and hopefully it'll let me finish it

*Edit* pc only soft-lock on quest progression, playing on PS5 allowed me to progress the quest

Worst luck for me in ZZZ so far. 140 pulls just got me 1 Koleda. Im 27 pulls away from a garanteed pull but all my resources are gone. WIll still probably get enough to get her before her banner ends, but not today.

From the test, she looks even better than i expected as she can trigger disorder by herself so she can be used in mixed element teams, mono electric teams, or even go solo.

She's a fuckin' mazin'. Not only she can trigger disorder on her own, but she also has really cool evasive attacks somewhat similar to Ellen's, has PEN focus with her stances so PEN stat is no longer a waste on discs (you literally have a combat stance to activate PEN and get bonus damage as a part of character's combat kit), has AOE attacks just like Qingyi and overall an absolute monster in combat.

I lost 50/50 again and got Grace... ugh, ffs:messenger_weary:

And then Nagi came home in just 4 searches (spent a total of ~84 tapes I think)⚡:

I might swap AP discs to the new ones with 15% of Electic and Fire DMG which they added in 1.2 (I've around 100 gold disc materials so plenty of tries to get what I need). The new crafting thing btw completely eliminates the need to waste red disc materials on tuning to get gold ones, cuz now you can get 2 gold ones for just 10 instead of 1 (!!!!) for wasting 50 on tuning - massive upgrade!, go use it folks!). I had Anomaly W-Engine I handed over to Grase, which was already upgraded to lvl 50, so I haven't wasted any materials on W-Engine. It's not her signature one, but it get's the job done. I might consider getting her signature W-Engine if Miyabi won't be announced for 1.4, otherwise I'll skip it. You can move around the world as Nagi everywhere except at the video store so I switched to her from Caesar. Oh and they added an option to improve a polygon count of character models, but for now it only works for MCs and Nagi, but I'm sure the rest will get the same treatment in a few updates.

Really digging the mystery of arpeggio fault minigame they made. It's fun lol
It's one of the best TV events they ever had imho, the previous one was about the treasure vault. I've literally zero negative things to say about it, it's very cool, the music is great, there's not a lot of text, the rewards are decent and it's relatively short when it comes to how much time you're spending in one of the levels.

They sort of made a lite HZ version out of it in terms of buffs you can buy to help you go further and stuff. I wish it was a permanent thing instead of a timed one and they involved S11 in the story which is very underused in the game imho so that's a plus as well. I haven't touched Nagi's special episode yet and probably will save it for the weekend - I mean, I know it's probably short, bust stll, don't have enough time and it's time gated anyway in terms of when each chapter unlocks, so no point in playing it right now.

Supposed to be an S rank. Not exactly unheard of, Hoyo gave out a free 5* in HSR last year for winning some game award, there's speculation that ZZZ could be getting nominated for something/win at TGA this year.

Can also be the case that her element count as 2 diferent elements, in that case my guess would be Ice + Fire. Curious to see what they gonna do with her.

Looks like she'll gel well with Ellen based on her primary damage type + she's focused on Crit Rate / DMG and that's where Ice Scorch mechanic will be useful. There's a few other agents in the game which are focused on Crit Rate / DMG (S11, Neko, Zhu) and there's plenty of combat stuff with Ice + Ether so Zhu + Ellen + Miyabi team will be unstopable. Also, if I were to guess as to why Miyabi's damage type symbol is different, I'd say it's made that way to show her importance and uniqueness as a Void Hunter and it'll be that way for the rest of them too in the future.

Now that our beautiful fox has finally been announced, we just have to pray that we can gather polys in 60 days to have enough for 50/50 and then 100% depending on our luck.

Given that the new endless tower thing looks cool af but is absolute shit in terms of rewards, I simply can't see myself wasting my time on it beyond lvl 15 which is already done. SD has way better rewards but is on a 2 week countdown.

Really starting to detest dodge characters, it's so annoying the game decides to switch to them instead of the block character I want to switch to; just completely messes up my rotation.
It can also completely mess up staggering bosses that have a pattern that needs to be blocked several times (like dead end butcher), why not just do exactly what I'm pressing? There's two switch buttons so if I wanted that other character I would've just pressed that button.
I'm guessing this is some side effect of the mobile version not having two switch buttons at launch, and the game considering the dodge more "beneficial" sometimes so it tries to "help" you, but it really just messes everything up.

Miyabi's kit is up, apparently no dual element, she's just got extra special ice damage that can cause disorder with normal ice damage and has some unique status effects

To your point, there's no discs which are specifically made for disorder yet and since we've got at least two chracters who can trigger it on their on.... I think it's about time to get the disc, which I'm sure won't be tied to any specific element if they're going to make them.

Really starting to detest dodge characters, it's so annoying the game decides to switch to them instead of the block character I want to switch to; just completely messes up my rotation.
It can also completely mess up staggering bosses that have a pattern that needs to be blocked several times (like dead end butcher), why not just do exactly what I'm pressing? There's two switch buttons so if I wanted that other character I would've just pressed that button.

Totally agree with everything. I can't believe they still haven't fixed this shit. It's not an issue at all when you have just 2 characters, but if it's 3.... you're fucked.

Man, I pulled Yanagi and her W Engine and now I got rid of that trash Corin. I stomped the Shiyu with no issues :messenger_loudly_crying:. My dual team of Zhu, Caesar, Nicole and Yanagi,Seth,Burnice is just making quick work. I cant wait for the next ambush or w/e node they got coming.

This shit happens to me on PC too and it breaks my flow and sometimes gets me killed. I usually swap into caesar for the block then debuff with Nicole and switch back to Zhu. Sometimes it just randomly switches from Nicole back to caesar or it sometimes switches me from caesar back to zhu.

Inferno metal is her best in slot, but it limits her team options. If you have burnice then it's fine, but iirc woodpecker is also good. I think woodpecker loses some value if you have her sig weapon because the atk% bonuses stack together

I don’t have her sig, I’m either gonna use that event attack engine, or the battle pass one six shooter I think that gives crit as a sub stat

Oh yeah jane fight was pretty challenging for me as well. It took me 4 or 5 tries to get it down. My team was qingyi, nicole, nekomata which is my preferred team vs jane due to nekomata being the goat at dodging. I would say that if you feel the combat system being inconsistent it's because you can activate a perfect dodge even after getting hit, as long as you aren't staggered the first frame of an enemy attack often doesn't have enough poise break to stagger you and as long as you dodge during an attack's active frames it counts as a perfect dodge which means you get vital view and the dodge counter while still getting damaged - so it feels like you take damage while having executed the dodge correctly but if you go back and frame by frame it you actually got hit. The other thing is sometimes you get animation locked during an attack with iframes but the animation recovery has no iframes and you take damage if you dodge counter into a multi-hit attack, this happens to me often with qingyi's dodge counter.

No it's more a lot of small different things that seems to not work or get reset in certain situations, maybe it's by design, or it could just be the result of how they coding interacts with itself; either way it gets in the way of full player agency.
An example would be if you switch out the character, the enemy, in this case jane's stagger gets reset, so if I were to switch out during a series of attacks that might seem to have jane on lock, it just stops and transfers this property to the new active character instead, but because it stops briefly, the enemy can immediately retaliate.
This had gotten me killed a couple of times because I thought my attacks were meaty, in this case meaning hitting her with the switch character while the other character is still attacking, but it's not because her state just gets reset.
This also kind of happens with seth's charge attack and ex attack, both of them will put jane in stagger, however you cannot link them into staggers together, that brief moment where seth isn't hitting her resets her state into non-stagger and she immediately retaliates, this is why in order to land the charge attack, you can see me doing a dodge attack first, this was the only way to consistently land both attacks on her while staggering.
But then I couldn't switch out jane with seth's perfect block quick assist too quickly either, you kinda have to wait till seth's nearly done attacking, otherwise jane will recover quicker and she can interrupt your attack.
The other thing is how her line dash attacks operate, they seem to hit you not via movement, but almost in a hit scan fashion, so there's no reacting to the actual movement, you have to be dodging while the hitbox becomes active, it feels like this hitbox is either a giant straight line, or 3/4 separate hitboxes that update in steps while jane moves across the line, because I've been hit by it even when she was already past me, so her hitbox was active behind her.
There's a few more little things but I don't feel like writing that much.

I did notice however that the goat amillion was able to restagger jane with her gattling gun attack, which is why you see me switching to seth every time she blasts jane, since it's a free full charge.

I think what you're describing is specific to Jane, I think from what I can tell if she's being juggled she gets like hyper poise recovery and can recover in the middle of attack strings and start counterattacking. As for her dash attacks, I think the hitbox is just gigantic - although idk. I'll try to record some gameplay later and see if I can nail it down

heh I was specifically not talking about having her in mid-air, since she will automatically recover then after a number of hits, this is also why you can see me switch to seth sometimes after I knock her down, she stays down long enough to get a charge off then, but if you actually keep attacking she's stop recovering and just counter attacks; this is also why I wait till she either attacks or lands from mid-air juggle before using the ultimate, otherwise it won't hit her.

Not better or worse, it's how it should be if they'd gone all-in into DMC. It would've made Nagi even more unique and interesting as a character as well.

This game man, they have so much opportunity to make the combat so much better, more memorable and complex (they're doing it, yeah, but to an extent they really should), to make boss fights more exciting as well as fighting groups of enemies, but instead, only bosses can do cool shit like Pompey, while we can only use basic combat kit characters have and nothing else. Like, for example, why are there no all-out attacks and opportunities for us to deal massive damage to all enemies with all agents at once? There absolutely must be team ultimates in the game with a special gauge you have to fill to activate them and use strategically. I mean, right now we basically have two almost exactly the same things - combat assists and combat assist with bangboo which deals more damage. Add to this an ability for Nagi to turn into Oni demon after filling special gauge and shred everything on the battlefield with unique move set, ult and all that and maybe an assist combat moves if Soukaku is on the team.... Or how about unique 2 chracter ults if they're from the same faction? Ugh... sometimes I hate that there's also GI and HSR they're working on and have to support at the same time.

I mean, I get it, it's just 1.3 and the game will get better with time, but it is so painfully and snail-like slow in terms of dev progress towards greatness.... If someone had asked me as to what they should do, I'd said that fuck agents for like 2-3 months and just go an focus on gameplay stuff more and make the combat shine instead, but fuckin' F2P aspect of the game will never make it happen. Everytime I play HSR and see all these a fuckin' mazin' character ults.... going back to the same basic stuff in ZZZ after 4 months is a pain and it's even more painful to realize, just how painfully slow it'll progress to where it should've been already if not at launch. I'll even go as far as to say that almost everything in ZZZ so far and after 4 mothns feels like it's only half way there and none of the updates do anything about it, maybe in terms of some QOL feature they do, but that's about it. And don't even get me started on the enemy variety.

And I'm not ranting here (or I guess I do:messenger_tears_of_joy:), it's just that... it's so painful to watch and even more so to feel, so I want this greatness and potential to be realized much sooner. Man, fuck GI and HSR... even though I really like the last one.

Nice, I haven’t attempted the higher floors yet, just got to 15 for the gems so far, been getting side tracked with other games atm, but sometime this weekend I want to sit down with this and give it a proper shot.
 
I wish there was a way to also turn off quick assist, it kinda sucks that it takes priority over parry, so you press parry but then the character just runs out to gets punched in the face instead.

There's just absolutely no other way of sayin' it - it's infuriating! There must be i-frames for this stuff everytime you switch to a character and the one you switched from finishing his move for example, but ending up being hit like a truck. I can't tell you how many times I restarted some of the fights cuz you're like fighting, dodgin', doing assists and all that knowing and seeing full well that haven't fucked anything up and then look up and what you see - 80% of the character HP is gone! Worse still, you even can lose 2 characters at once during switch transition (!!!!), it happened to me multiple times and you literally can't do anything about it cuz there's no i-frames. How can this even be called good combat design? It has been like that since launch and 4 months later the issue is still not fixed.

When I see all this constantly I just can't help but wonder if the game was originally designed for just two characters with bangboos as a ult support, cuz how else can you explain why 3 character team works so much worse with fucked up switching system, which can do whatever the hell it wants and not what you want it to do. Like, there's 4 buttons for parrying and switching, why can't they let us customize what each of them does? Not to mention that the auto targeting system in the game is just as bad as character switching mechanics and 3 character team and they also did absolutely nothing to fix it and design different auto target systems for us to try and switch to like for example the devs did for the remake of Lords of the Fallen.

Goddamnit, next time they'll have a survey up, I'll let them know about all this loud and clear. Cuz it's bad enough that you have insane HP and DMG buffs for endgame stuff, but when you don't have total control over what you can do, plan and strategize accordingly, it's literally game breaking and not fun whatsoever, which is also why I'm not doing this tower thing besides it having shit rewards after 15th level.

Surely this can't be the final version of her ult cuz to me it looks kinda weak and lacks the impact, in comparison to the rest of the stuff she does with AOE attack and other stuff which is god tier:messenger_horns::messenger_open_mouth:

It looks like the charging is very fast so it won't be a problem, so that's good. Still, it needs to be tested with more enemies and with more agressive ones along with bosses.

Why there's no clear focus skills though on her stats screen.... I mean, AP for sure will be up there, but what else?:pie_thinking:

Man the animations in this game are something else. Love the flow and sfx. I was kinda "meh" on her, but she does look like quite a bit of fun to play.

I really wish ZZZ had at least one more combat button. I feel like this game would have benefitted so much from light attack/heavy attack/special/super and hold/tap variations of those. I know that's asking for a lot considering it's a gacha content treadmill game where they ideally want a character to be fun for exactly 1 patch, but it really sucks that the designs, animations, bosses are so good but you're limited to mostly just mashing 1 button the whole time. I'd love it if there was a jump button and custom combos and stuff too, but that's taking in a lot of extra work. I feel like just having light/heavy attacks that you can mix and match would add so much variety and style to combat.

It sucks that gacha gameplay modes are constantly at odds with player freedom. Stage timers and dps checks are the antithesis of fun, at least for me. I'd rather the enemies were aggressive and hit hard and encouraged mastery of the mechanics instead of stat grinding and spending more money to get stronger. Or even if they adopted a DMC system of style points and you were judged based on those, that'd even be way better than timers.
