Yeah, im so ready right now. I've even started watching Halo Nightfall as I wait. It's... bad.
Let's be honest, it's 343...it will be p2p for sure.
It's been confirmed to be on dedicated servers already. I'm not worried about that.

Since Halo 5 was developed entirely in house at 343 there's little doubt it will work. We will be sure to you you know soon

I got it, haven't received my code yet.
An invite to the program usually takes a couple of days, if you get accepted. You won't be in time for the beta.

I'm in the beta but my console is registered at the moment because I opted out. Wonder if I'll get the message. Bloody hope so!
So I received an early access code for review purposes yesterday and immediately was concerned with the matchmaking, how and if it would work properly with only a few reviewers / high profile streamers filling up the queues.
Now that all Live Preview members will also gain access, this makes much more sense.
I get that they want to keep the number of players in this early access low but I have to admit, this way of going about it is questionable at best.
Day 1 buyers (or any customer, really) of the MCC had to suffer through which what should have been the best release of the year, with still no details on the once promised compensation, are now being ignored when it comes to who gets into this early access?
Instead, for this one it doesn't matter whether you own MCC or not as long as you are in that preview program? A program that requires an invite. The invite taking days to show up (if at all, that is?) and the news of the early access within that preview program hitting only a couple hours prior to launch? MCC buyers left out will be raging, and rightfully so, I have to say.
As of now, everybody seems to try to get an preview program invite and is still hopeful, but I guess this will swing rather quickly as they start to realize that preview membership isn't going to happen in time.

Streaming allowed at 1 p.m. PST, the time it officially starts. Download should be available three hours prior to that.

I just fired up halo mcc for the first time in ages. Is it normal to lose 30 mins of game time? I'm at the truth and reconciliation mission and I know I boarded the ship.. But it's put me right back at the very start of the mission.
Is this normal? Do you have to finish a mission to actually save or what?

Hopefully the download now takes away from downloading it when the beta officially starts. That would save you the DL time for the formal beta.

This is a bug since launch. Sometimes progress is lost.

Did you choose "Save & Quit" in the mission before shutting down the console? If not, then Halo will never save your progress.
At least I've not experienced losing a savegame since one of the latest patches
