Legit had never even considered the original game, but that sequel trailer hit me in the feels and I'm now gonna try it on Game Pass.

You will love it, the gameplay is so unique and the story is SOO well done.

at this point if ur not buying an Xbox and GamePass....ur losing money.

I hate buying multiplats on Playstation anyway. And as someone thats owned both consoles every gen for like 15 years .......time and time again i have been punished for buying multiplats on Playstation. Either Xbox store has a better deal on the game. Or it becomes available on GamePass. Or it becomes backwards compatible. Or it gets a frame rate boost.

The amount u would spend on an xbox and gamepass...u will make that back when u don't have to buy the game for ur playstation because its launching day one on GamePass.

They try and hype a final reveal and it's just a god damn CGI trailer, meaning the game is 2 years away minimum.
23 studios and how many of their games were shown off?
Xbox owners waiting another 12-24 months for those first party exclusives.

Literally the only selling point is it's subscription service for people who don't like paying for individual games.
bleh

Why do PS fanboys push this narrative. When you buy a publisher do you really expect them to release all of the games mid development or show them when they are 2+ years away.

I'm new to xbox this gen and I'm not waiting 12-24 months for games either. Halo and Forza Horizon are in Nov and flight sim is next month. Why lie???

Hellblade will be a great game I’m sure about that. I wanted so much to see that in their press but I guess next time. As for kojima I’m very very impressed that you are so sure about their collaboration. Let’s see how things will play out.
As for games with dates etc, the most impressive thing they showed was gamepass which is blowing and I admit it I’m a little jealous. May build a new PC or buy a Series S just for that as I want to buy a PS5 for main console gaming. Anyways, this time MS got their shit together. Now I’m waiting for Sony to blow us away (joking :p)

If you have an okay gaming pc, just do the 3 years gamepass hack. It is so worth it!

Surely a game like plague tales 2 looks interesting.

Playground games, battlefield and stalker 2 are doing all they can to make the show awesome while Bethesda and 343i is burning the whole thing down. Please Microsoft just sell 343i and get gsc gameworld. They get stalker and if they need a halo developer, there is no way they would do a worse job. No Starfield gameplay is very disappointing. 6 years of development, release date set and no gameplay with Todd Howard explaining the in game stuff. That’s atrocious. Bethesda somehow decide to show lengthy gameplay trailer of fallout 76 of all their games in development for their e3 is insane. 5/10 for me. Very exciting highs with some crushing disappointing segments.

One of the better E3 conferences ive seen. Im usually disappointed and disgusted after these things - for this one lots of stuff interested me there.
Games are lined up for quite some time for the console - the no games argument is dead. And the new studios are just getting started.

-Flight Sim is still the most impressive next gen game ive seen - complete system seller for me. I can see myself putting 100s of hours on that.
-As a huge Halo fan, Infinite hit its marks - multiplayer deep dive tomorrow on the official Halo youtube I saw. The cinematic with Chief and the AI hit home - been so long since the last Halo. The multiplayer trailer was a hit as well - BTB CTF baby.
-Horizon 5 really showed XSX graphical prowess. Horizon is the most consistent series in gaming imo.
-I dont think its exclusive but Replaced looked absolutely incredible.
-BF2042 looks to be a return to BF franchise form finally.
-Im not going to dump on Redfall without seeing gameplay - could turn out good. Years ago vampires were played out, currently its zombies - seeing vampires feels fresh again.

Sony fanboys on this forum are a fucking joke - as usual. Disgusting.

Is anybody else wondering why Arkane spent all that money on a 5 minute CGI trailer and couldn't be show a lick of actual gameplay.

It annoys me that they now have the safety net along with all the money in the world and this is the direction they are deciding to go in.

I was very disappointed in that trailer, it didn't need to be done. Utterly bizarre that they decided to end the show on that.

Alright let me go through these.

STALKER 2
- Hyped for it, but it's a third party game

Psychonauts 2
- I have no faith in Double Fine.

Starfield
- Could be cool, but Bethesda hasn't been good as of late. No gameplay in trailer leaves me lukewarm

Outer Worlds 2
- Making fun of CGI trailers doesn't make it OK to do one. OW1 was disappointing, so I'm not particularly hopeful about this one

Back 4 Blood
- Shitty studio trying to harken back to the only good thing they did. Looks to be an MTX-filled shitfest. Would rather play L4D2 with mods.

Redfall
- Left 4 Vampire. We really needed another shitty co-op shooter. Why would you have Arkane make this instead of something like Prey 2, Dishonored, etc? Trailer didn't give me any reason to care

Forza Horizon 5
- Looked amazing, but it's just another Forza game.

Halo Infinite
- Looked pretty sick, but my faith in 343i is zero so my hype is tempered. Definitely noticed improved lighting vs. the previous reveal.

Replaced
- Cool looking indie game. Will check out when it hits Game Pass.

A Plague Tale: Requiem
- I was iffy on the first game. Hopefully they make it play better. Will check it out when it hits Game Pass.

Atomic Heart
- This screams 10/10 premise, 6/10 game. Will check it out when it hits Game Pass.

Diablo 2: Resurrected
- Looks great. Third party game releasing on everything with a GPU, though.

Or PS5/PC.... honestly if they actually do release most if not all games on PC too..I dont know why anyone would honestly get an X over a PC tbh. Im going to be in the PS5/Switch/PC camp. Need to upgrade and build a new PC as im due for another build, have switch already, and will buy a PS5 when I can find one more available
Uhhh, not everyone wants or cares about PC, dude. Don't be ignorant.

Get a PC and see if xbox gamepass for pc makes sense, that's Microsoft play for you.

Unless you also have pc. Half these are already preorder at huge discount on cdkeys, green man gaming.

I'm a pc/ps5 guy. And had gamepass.

Cant believe there are no threads on Replaced, it looks awesome.
Yeah I agree, I thought it was by far the most creative and interesting thing in the entire conference. I can't remember, was it an Xbox exclusive? If the game turns out good I would get an XSX just for that game.

Quick thoughts:

Halo really looking good this time around, I think I was too pessimistic about it visually, it and Forza 5 showing that they can make the cross-gen titles purdy for sure.
I love the humor in the Outer Worlds 2 trailer. Whoever's dreaming that stuff up needs a raise.
Good to get a release date on Starfield, unfortunate that I don't really know any more about it today than yesterday.
RedFall looks neat.
A Plague Tale 2 is a looker. Need to play the first one.
Ecstatic about getting a date on 12 minutes, didn't know that was a GP game.
Congrats to the Screen Junkies voiceover guy expanding his employment repertoire, not sure about that game though. :messenger_grinning_smiling:
Glad I didn't buy YLAD straight away, great addition.
Crazy watching the Xbox shows now and thinking, well I kinda already will own that one, and that one, and that one too. GP is a gift from the Gods. :messenger_beaming:

Solid showing. 8/10. Would score it a 9/10 if they'd taken the time to show me literally anything about Starfield gameplay wise.

Glad I ignored most of the Twitter noise this time around, looks like it was just about as accurate as always.

Was looking forward for Starfield but disappointed with that trailer. Atomic, replacement and Eiyuden Chronicles look interesting. For me the games showed do not make me want an Xbox. Maybe when they show gameplay or more stuff about Starfield or Elder Scroll 6 i would think of getting one.

Yeah nar, not with you there buddy. I dont buy a console for one game. I think the future looks somewhat ok, but still nothing amazing to play yet. Starfield is wayy too far away.

Edit: Yap, its GP, meaning you can easily play on PC -

Sony fanboys on this forum are a fucking joke - as usual. Disgusting.

The no games thing is only dead because they decided to whip out the Microsoft credit card and plop down 8 BILLION dollars acquiring Zenimax which had a good ammount of games in development already. Im supposed to applaud Phil for that? Literally games that were already going to be on the system anyway. Yes Sony did buy Insomniac as a single studio but in perspective that is like Microsoft buying 30 ish Insomniac is how much cash they plopped down.

Horizon looked pretty good ill give them that, for anyone that is into racing that looks like a must play. Certainly more promising than Gran Turismo that has underdelivered lately. Flight sim looked good but the games been out almost a year already on PC anyway. For people into flight sim game looks incredible but I cant speak to how realistic it controls as people who are into the game are probably looking for that right?

It was a very solid conference, anyone saying it wasnt is defintely a troll or being bias. For gamepass subscribers it is a win but we already knew all first party games were going to be on there.

Im very dissapointed in the Starfield showing. It is still a far bit off and we still dont know much about the game. I was expecting that to be the showcase game of this conference. Halo still doesnt have a release date. WTF is this "Holiday 2021 garbage" for a game that was supposed to come out LAST YEAR at launch and zero campaign footage. I was expecting to see alot more between Starfield and Halo and they failed on that front.

I don't do PC gaming, and I don't do GP either.

And I WOULD buy a console for one game, if I wanted to play it. I don't care what you do in that sense, so I am not sure why you even made that comment.

This was a lot better than their previous conferences and I liked it, game of the show was Forza Horizon 5 without a doubt. Hats-off to Playground for actually showing some gameplay, still think they could've shown some gameplay for Starfield but still looking forward to it. Wish they showed something from the campaign for Halo and the fact that it still doesn't have an exact release date is a little concerning, but multiplayer looked really good.

Overall, it was a pretty decent show but WAY FUCKING BETTER than their previous E3 conference. And I loved the format for this conference too, more games and less talking, they're learning.

The funny thing is that I was hoping to see some acquisition news, and BC, FPS and resolution boost news and even if I didn’t get any of that, I wasn’t disappointed. I think it is because this showcase (the presentation, games and the pacing) was Super confident in a very positive way that Xbox brand is thriving and getting better each day. No desperation, no phony antics.

They are clearly trying to hide Halo still, "gameplay captured in engine" it didn't even say actual gameplay on xbox series x and it's not like it looked all that great anyway.

Starfield "gameplay" was a quick cinematic with NO gameplay lol.

Forza Horizon looks good but why show an "in engine" trailer that looks so much better than the actual gameplay just before?

Stalker 2 looks like what we knew it did

Battlefield gameplay was meh, I've lost almost all interest in this game.

Far Cry gameplay looks better than the cinematics, the faces look terrible in that game.

Some good looking indie style games coming with quite a few being launch exclusives like the ascent.

It's timed exclusive, coming in 2022, but on Gamepass day one.

This. Only PS fans could call this a weak E3. Imagine Sony selling nearlly 30 games all coming out within the next 16 months for $6 and calling it 'weak'
Ya def not a weak E3..but not super amazing megaton E3 either... Just a very super solid show all around which honestly is a vast improvement for Microsoft

It is a red flag. Starfield gets an exact release date 18 months from now, and Halo can't nail a date five months from now? Fearing something's afoot in the house of Chief.

I have a question about gamepass: when a first party game is available in Gamepass, is it there forever? I had Gamepass on PC and I know third party games are removed from time to time, like in Netflix, but what about first party?

How many Xbox conferences have you seen out of curiosity?

You must not realize who you're talking to lol.

I've been to every Xbox conference and Xbox fanfest in person since 2015, except 2018 due to work obligations, and this smokes them all by a huge margin because they did what Xbox fans have been asking for, big new AAA exclusives. I've never seen a stronger first party lineup from Microsoft. The only downside for me was no big new JRPG announcement, and I wouldn't have minded more direct gameplay footage, like for the Halo Halo Infinite campaign, or Starfield gameplay, but that will all come in time.

Halo Infinite (campaign looked amazing! Huge visual jump over last year, the engine looks sick, the story direction looks amazing, and a new smart AI for Chief (a potential variant of Cortana hinted at in Halo 4 brought back!?) If you don't care about the Halo story this likely won't mean anything to you, but it's everything to me. Halo Infinite's campaign graphics looked outrageously good. That footage I saw was a fucking dream come true for Halo fans. Go watch the 4K footage..

Halo Infinite Multi-Player legit looked insane.. I don't even play Halo MP. It looked amazing.... What more can be said?

Outer Worlds 2 confirmed (enough said, the first game was amazing and so was the DLCs) and this is a big new AAA exclusive being made for next gen, likely going to be on Unreal 5...

Forza Horizon 5 (looks like the best game in the franchise yet based on what they showed, and looks to be pushing the console)

Contraband (new AAA exclusive) from Avalanche. Excited just based on this is the Just Cause team making a next gen only exclusive for Xbox.

Starfield

Redfall from Arkane, new AAA shooter coming next year (next gen exclusive coming to Xbox)

Sea of Thieves with Jack Sparrow, which genuinely looks fun.

Stalker 2 looks fantastic

And so much more... and the majority of this is dropping into Game Pass on day one. In terms of games and value proposition shown at an Xbox conference, they've never done better than this conference. I will stress again, to be able to say that a game as big as Starfield is going to be coming from a legendary studio like Bethesda, their new big singleplayer space epic is a full console exclusive and looks like that!? They confirmed it was a true Xbox exclusive not once, not twice, but three different times during the entire conference. It's about impact and games. And to be able to say Starfield, looking that good, is exclusive plus a day one in game pass when ready?

This conference knocked it out of the park.
