The Witcher 4 has entered full-scale production, CD Projekt has confirmed

Massive open world with UE5 ?

Nervous Key And Peele GIF

Why am I feeling like we'll miss REDengine dearly..
Don't worry, it will launch for the PS5, run like shit, then have a PS6 version that is playable.

More excited about Cyberpunk 2 (Project Orion), but the quicker they get Witcher 4 done, the quicker they can move on to it :)
Yeah, I feel like there is much more potential in the Cyberpunk IP now.

I absolutely love Witcher 3, but I fear that W4 will feel a little like "been there, done that". Not a lot of things can be done to be new and exciting in the heroic fantasy space imho. Hope they prove me wrong

Well, some games get treated differently like GTA, these people aren't our friends and if it's just another game, the whole industry will collapse.

Release this game Day 1 with no insane bugs and glitches. I want them to show me that they have learned from that horrendous cyberpunk launch.

I've got a bad feeling about this. Can't shake off the feeling this will be a fail.

It's almost like its customary. All good things must become absolute pile of dog shit.

Prove me wrong cdpr.

It's not too late to go back to RED Engine guys. We can't handle much more UE slop.
i’m not a big fan of UE either but I imagine the engine would have matured significantly by the time of launch, and we’ll have more powerful hardware to handle it.

I’m sure CDPR developers will also be collaborating with Epic to bring new features into the engine so it should be interesting.

one of CD Projekt programmer spoke about the reason why they move to UE on twitter.

Red Engine is pain in the ass that they need to rewrote the code at every project. it might be way worse for them if they return back to the engine.

Earliest it will come out is next gen, guys, plenty time left for us to get hyped still, lets wait year or two and see their cgi/reveal trailer so we at least know new protagonist ;)
Edit: Ok, since we know it will be next gen, graphics wise it shouldnt look much worse from that w3 cgi trailer, so why not watch it again :p

I think it might be useful to write that a new Witcher book is out December 1st in Poland, in January 2025 in English. Focuses on the Geralt's younger years when he just left Kaer Morhen for the first time.

Yeah it's almost like all that hard work they put into RED Engine paid off and was worth it. This is pure cost cutting from new executives.

CDPR please remember.
IF you intend to release the game on Ps5/SX actually design the game to run properly on these consoles.
Otherwise just skip them, go all in on next gen and position your game as the must play title for everyone upgrading to a next gen console

Don't pull another Cyberpunk.

I just want an option for a short to the point conversations, or the ability to 1.5X them. At some point early i just couldn't listen to the blabber anymore and skipped it all.

cd project is the only western publisher left that make great rpgs. plz plz plz dont be woke .
They are based here in Poland, so dunno if u can call us the west, our salaries are roughly 5x lower vs western ones, in corpos tho, it started to look very western alike in recent years(tons of feminism, political correctness and all that nasty shit west is plagued with), especially after 2020.
Not saying to lose all hope, but be smart about trailers and dont preorder, game could turn out amazing or mediocre at best, especially at launch where u can be sure game gonna have bad performance and be buggy as hell :messenger_weary:

They are working on Orion concurrently with W4 right now. They have around 60 people working on pre-production in their new studio in Boston.

Sound like a crossgen game but the last(current gen) console can barely run , atleast for the first year .
