Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Some more sights from the zone. Series X Quality Mode.

And some nice bit of world building. This is a checkpoint I have crossed multiple times, but after certain story events, someone has placed a head on a stick as a warning on my path.

Some things i've noticed, Skiff pistol doesn't cost you to repair, worth keeping it if you wanna save some coupons.

Repairing spacial guns cost a fortune, while regular cost much less, perhaps it's better to keep 2-3 regular modded guns which will be cheaper to repair, then throwing 10k-15k coupons for spacial guns.
About suits i have no idea yet what is worth keeping, as any one i have cost 20k+ coupons to repair.. i guess just use and get a new one.

Bought some guns attachments, can't seems to find them as loot, in 15-20 hours i played i only found 3 attachments.

An early mission in the second zone will have someone give you their silenced handgun, you can take the silencer off of it and put it on Skif's handgun, it has been my primary handgun basically my entire time through.

Edit: Just follow the quest marker at that point of the game. You may go a while without being able to upgrade/repair, but get to the objective and you can do it there (and maybe nowhere else?)

Can anyone help me out? I'm at (I think) close to the end game, and I cannot find anywhere to trade/repair/upgrade my equipment.

I'm on "The Invisible Threat" mission. The Noontide base is wiped out, so I can't trade/use a guide/sleep there, etc. I went to Zalissya, and a trader, bed, and medic are in the Ward's building, but the door is locked. I'm about to head up to the Slag Heap. Not looking forward to walking all the way there only to for it to be useless, too.

I'd like to head into the final stretch with equipment that's not falling apart.

Wanted to finish it before PoE 2 came out. I think I'm close to the end but my last three saves won't load anymore. Uninstalled and will come back to attempt again when there are some patches that hopefully fix whatever issue I have. Great game marred by technical shit.

I've started just selling off every single handgun I get during the story or find even if it's special. I used Skifs gun with a suppressor 95% of the time up until I found a APS (not sure what it's called in game) because I love the gun IRL.

I actually went through and cleared out my inventory of a bunch of guns as I really just use a few:
SOFMOD (found it randomly and it's great because it has a fore grip, suppressor, and a red dot already on it)
Tavor (Again idk what the in game name is but it gives me a 5.45 weapon since that ammo is more common in certain areas then 5.56)
As Val (Honestly not ALL that useful so far but it's one of my favorite guns IRL and I refuse to not use it despite 9x39 being sort of rare)
VSS (This was a preorder bonus so it's modded. This is basically my go to sniper)
SVD (I kept the one that a character gives you early on but I never use it)
Vector (I only kept this because I have so much surplus of 9x19 that I needed to use it to get rid of it)
M860 (At least I think that's what the shotgun is called in game. It has a red dot and a 10 round box magazine so it's my go to shotgun)
Then Skifs Makarov and the APS

Everything else gets sold. I'm on the lookout for a Malyuk to replace the Tavor, and a SVU to replace the SVD. Once I find them the others will also get sold off to pay for ammo.

I hate to tell you but you aren't anywhere close to end game. You are basically exactly half way through. You are on mission 17 of 35.

I only know this because I ran into that bugged mission earlier and looked up a walkthrough to see if I was doing something wrong or if it was actually broken.

After 20~ hours I just had my first soft lock, and that too at the boot screen when it's "setting up profile".

Mini heart attack booting again hoping my saves or profile didn't get wiped, thankfully not.

Wow, my saves from last night are just gone. Thankfully there was very little progress lost since I was basically just troubleshooting a buggy quest. At least I know what to do this time lol

Beware, people in reddit are saying that the game is super buggy when you reach half of the story and move forward.

Ugh 😩
Yep, learned that the hard way last night... but there are workarounds on PC, thankfully.

Keep an eye out for the quest called Extreme Simplicity. It leads you into series of quests and afterwards is when things start to fall apart.

I'm not a fan of how quickly the time of day changes in the game. Not an ideal situation if you'd like to keep playing during the day or at night. Also the beds should allow you to choose a preferred time of day.

Anyway I'm glad I'm still slooowly exploring the second region, not in any danger yet to encounter later bugs lol.

I'm retarded?
buggy spawns are one thing but now more and more ppl are complaining about buggy saves/losing progress? thats a huge nah. I guess just like the og games and Bethesda games, they'll rely on modders to fix their shit huh?

Bummer, i had 2 sidequest bugged last night.

One was the dude trapped in the electric field that asked me to guide him out of the thing, but the idiot doesn't even speak to me so i can't guide him, and the deceive the deceiver quest, the dude that should pay me doesn't spawn so i can't complete it.

After a little more than 10 hours i'll say this, it runs like shit and the stick drift or whatever is annoying...but fuck me i can't stop playing, for me that means it's a good game 👍

I posted this on Era as well, but this game is tickling all the same spots in my brain that Dragon's Dogma 2 did.

Fantastic atmosphere, sense of world building and exploration.

Man this game is incredible, the world is so beautiful. I was doing a mission at night, barely made it because I got attack by these jumping enemies, visibility was not great and it was raining, and I lead many of these fuckers to those anomalies that make things explode and it was glorious to see them all dying and me surviving. The sound helps me so much too, its very immersive

After that all of a sudden the sun came out with a beautiful sunrise and it was a great feeling

When the game works well, its a masterpiece, lets hope that they start releasing patches soon and polishing the experience

Whelp, looks like a certain thing is bugged for everyone in later parts of the game.

Zalissay's defense from the monoliths, even if you save them and get the radio message that it's all good, if you run far away from it, you then get the message that Zalissay has fallen and the traders etc inside it are gone now.

sigh.

Game is truly beautiful, also love this kind of details.

How far are you in the main quest ? Does the game avoid too much repetition in situations / quests / environments ?

Honestly, I don't know how much is left. Haven't looked up total missions etc, but I have to imagine I'm fairly deep into it (20+ hrs in the game already).

Though some reviews said it's a 50~60 hour game, so let's see

Man, I just arrived to Icarus and literally all the textures of the buildings and rooms are overlapping and flickering. Who tested this game?

Does anyone know if the artifact abilities overlap
eg if I have one Strong endurance and one Medium endurance, will they stack or will the stronger one take effect only ?

I'm playing with controller on PC. No real complaints except there's seemingly no deadzones on the thumbsticks.

So I swerve left and right like a drunk when trying to run in a straight line, and the aiming reacts to every little movement. Definitely playable. And the swerving is probably partly my fault, but I have never had that issue in a game before.
As it should be. Can't see where people are seeing something wrong here.

Considering the side effects of radiation stack we should assume the benefits stack too.

There are mods for longer days and nights.

I've been trying to stop using the compass. Following roads, using landmarks to navigate the map. Unsurprisingly I ended up in Cordon by accident. So I had to visit the rookie village and that sob Sidorovich. Pure nostalgia.

On Reddit people are saying the game breaks after one of the main missions halfway through the game.

From the original trilogy, what is the game with the best gunplay\a life implementation\smartest combat ai?

Shadow? Prypiat or blue sky?

And how are the ports on ps5? Still buggy or stable?

Call of Prypiat refined the formula, the three games have been already patched up and are running well, there is mod implementation on consoles too.

Yep, but it's fixable on PC at least. On Xbox you're SOL until a patch addresses it.

Yeah that was the most fucked up case of z-fighting I've ever seen in a major game release. Thankfully you don't spend too much time in there but yea...

Clear Sky is the one with the most elaborate A-Life system I think, but it's kind of buggy (maybe less so in the console version)

Currently playing through the ports, there are small technical issues (stuttering in some parts mainly) but they are surprisingly good imho. And all three games hold up quite a lot visually

I think I'm about halfway through, but I'm going to start over with mods.
GSC needs to fire whoever is responsible for the loot tables and economy. :messenger_grinning_smiling:

This is an issue that I have been thinking about too. The game gives you too many supplies constantly. Right now I have like 60 bandages and 30 medkits. And so much ammo as well. They should tone down this my opinion

Loot tables??
You can make a few good trips and actually open a branch of 7/11...

If we consider the game now, I would give it 5-5.5, for two reasons.
1) Right now, a lot of things in the game just don't work, or are unbalanced, or buggy
2) Weak story and dialogues.
It's easier to say what works in the game, what doesn't work, or what works as it should. But it starts...

If they sit down and fix everything that doesn't work in the game and that isn't there (There's probably a year's worth of work there, if not more...), then it can be raised to 7-7.5
The advantage of this game is that it is STALKER, the disadvantage of this game, oddly enough, is that it is STALKER. I will try to explain, this game is what is called in the industry a Safe remake. We tidy up the game a little, but do not touch anything. And while the original game over the years acquired mods, global modifications, and expanded, becoming bigger and better. Now, in fact, we have been thrown back to the start, because in fact this is the same starting STALKER but with updated graphics and now most likely it will take about a year to finish it, then another year or so before the mods appear - Anomaly, Gunslinger, etc. That is, we are back to the very beginning of the path =)
At the moment, this version of the game cannot compete with the modified original in terms of gameplay - it is not even close, unfortunately.

As much as I'm loving the game, after hearing about the problems mid-game and lost saves I'm going to have to leave it for now because having to replay the 10 or so hours I've put into it is a turn-off.

There are way too many consumables everywhere.
Yep, the game doesn't feel like a survival at all in term of resource scarcity, i was never once without medkits or ammo or food or antirad, like not even close.

I’d hang off before complaining about having too many medkits etc. I felt that way in the first game, but kept getting hammered at the end right when you make it to the reactor, used all my many medkits, and got stuck.

Had to leave it uncompleted.

The

SIRCAA

missions need some serious rebalancing in terms of ammo drops. Unless you're playing on Rookie, or carry an insane amount of ammo in you, you're bound to struggle with your inventory. The

Ward soldier gauntlet

is some next level fuckery.

Yet I can't stop playing. The game is seriously unfinished and needs at least 1 more year in development, but it's impossible to put down. If it was better optimized and properly completed, it'd seriously be my personal GOTY.

So I'm currently 42 hours into the game, and I've gotten to the point where despite singing it's praises constantly I don't suggest people keep playing right now. Once you get about half way through the story the entire game is broken at least for me. I've had to use the UE Prompts to be able to progress about 4 times now as I either finish a mission and the quest doesn't actually complete or the quest completes but the next quest does not prompt.

Just in case anybody gets stuck like this I'll post these here. If you download this you can use the follow prompt alongside the mission code to get past it. I'm only putting this here because I know it was really frustrating for me and it'll be easier for others.

Man, no wonder reviewers were harsh. Not even remotely close to day 0 patch and even that has bugs. Why would devs send review code like that, might as well just wait launch day and let them play it.
