Bits And Chips has provided fresh insights into the state of what is expected to be Nvidia's flagship consumer Blackwell graphics cards. Reportedly, the GeForce RTX 5090 could cost a little less than previous rumours suggested. Citing 'several Chinese and Japanese journalists', Bits and Chips alleges that between $1,899 and $1,999 in its base state.
The website believes that successors to overclocked verisons, like the Asus TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 OG OC Edition (curr. $1,819.95 on Amazon), will breach the $2,000 mark

Whales gon' whale, they could double it and OverHeat OverHeat would still pre-order 3

I'm not even surprised any more, I have learned to expect exorbitant prices. I'm more interested in what's going to happen in the low end. Will they flaunt their "Go buy from my cousin if you don't like it, fuck face" status and gimp the VRAM on the 60 again?

No, you're supposed to get a second job.

with all the bad press around the 12 pin, I am surprised it took this long and wasn't already done with the RTX40 Super refisions.

Look, if it's compatible with the new power supplies I got for the 12VHPWR connection then I won't complain.

But if they expect me to get new power supplies again... No chance. I'll stick with what I have until a new universal standard can be decided upon. Enough with the experimentation with something that wasn't even broken to begin with.

When Nvidia launched the titan z at 3K, I laughed at how some people wanted the best thing yet it sold like hot cakes. If gamers want to game at the "best graphics GPU ever" regardless of how much their electricity bill will be each month, then they will buy this too.

Master race, it's time to prove you are much wealthier than the peasant PS players!!!
Yeah I'm so out. AMD saying they want to flood the market is my only hope at this point. If I round down my salary down to 100K vs 110K, that's 2% of my income for a GPU and they can suck a dick.

I’m not starting shit but you could get a new 65in LG OLED TV and any console you want for that price, and still have change left over. Maybe I’m just getting older and no longer see the point …

The way I look at it is cards priced like this are not for people like me that would have to make that choice. They are for enthusiasts that would not even consider the OLED + console combo or the folks that can afford both. I am happy to carry on with my mid-tier PC builds and console combo.

I desperately need a new PC but I have zero experience in building them so I'll probably have to do the dreaded thing of buying a prebuilt one from a store. Sadly I don't live near the mate who used to build them for me anymore.

I dont think ive seen a single 4090 below $1999 at microcenter.

this thing will probably be $2,500.

nvidia knows that there are suckers out there willing to pay $3-5k for these cards. All they need are the 1% whales most mobile games rely on to make billions. Sad that the gaming hardware industry has turned to exploiting its most loyal userbase like mobile game developers do but thats where we are right now.

curious to see if the 5070 offers 2x more performance than the 3080 and retails for less than $999. im not paying $1,000 for just 2x more performance. if its $799, i might think about it.

Won't offer anywhere near 2x the performance of a 3080. That's 4090 territory. More than likely, you're looking at maximum 50%, so in the ballpark of a 4080 at best.

With tax in Canada a 4090 is basically 3K.

Day one for me. Can't wait to upgrade from my RTX 3090, run benchmarks, and then play some Portal RTX without DLSS this time.
I just hope my 1000w psu will be enough and that I'll be able to get one at launch since the evga queue is no more.
