PS5 Pro Runs Max PC Settings in Lords of the Fallen, Says Dev; ‘A Comparable PC Would Be More Costly’

Too bad the game is mediocre. No amount of graphical updates is going to make me want to play it. Lies of p was the better souls-like game last year.

If there is alot of games, then why concentrate on Alan Wake and Star Wars?

A simple look at their video page.. that all they talk about last 5 days
You forgot the part where they did TLOU Part II, Spider-Man 2, Rift Apart, F1 24, and FF VII? Or do you just have selective memory?

Hell, people were saying early on that DF did a better job at selling them the Pro than Sony did. Now that they rightfully covered games that don’t run so hot, they’re trying to undermine the Pro?

Lol.

It seems like DF is postponing the test because its against their narrative.

Rich should move on from Sega death, Alex should move on from Xbox beating by Sony .. and act professional accordingly 😅
As pro owner I'm glad they highlighted silent hill 2, because now it looks like bloober are going to sort it out

At the time they are forced to cover because they don't want to be left behind, the moment one bad patch job appears they put their full support milking it.

Yeah, so no argument lol. You'll gladly ignore them giving positive coverage, but the moment it isn't so good, you cry about it.

I will forgive them if they spend the next 5 days milking Callisto Pro patch, it would be an added bonus if they dared to compare it with equivalent PC builds 🤣

But I know they wouldn't do it

Once again, are there the same trash mobs throughout the whole game after 1.5? If yes, then it changes nothing. Did they make the Umbral realm fun to explore? If not, then it changes nothing.

Are we talking enemy variety? I admit that's probably not one of its strongest points, but there are other huge offenders that don't seem to get the same level of scrutiny. Looking at God of War 2018's direction.

I personally didn't think the Umbral stuff was bad, but then again I liked Metroid Prime 2, so...

framerate has nothing to do with visual fidelity

The only relation framerate and visual fidelity have is… the higher the framerate, the uglier the game.

Using their own scaler for high fidelity at 1440p/60 is probably the right choice if the performance cost is less than using PSSR, so long as the upscaling is acceptable enough.

Yes, enemy variety, and GOW 2018 got a lot of shit for its low enemy variety and lack of challenging and unique bosses. Of course, it didn't stop journos from fellating it because of its story, voice acting, and production values, but this was definitely cited as a point of contention, at least among fans.

So they shouldn't talk about games with bad patches?

People should buy them and find out themselves?
The stopped to talk about Dragons Dogma 2 until the game was running at 60fps because that was contrary to their CPU narrative

For console, yes.
No it’s for PC too.

If you want higher frames you’ll need more expensive gear in order for the game not to look uglier. Even if you have that expensive gear it will still most likely look better running at a lower framerate. Theres simply less compromise

They are working on Stellar Blade, GT7, and Resident Evil 4/Village videos right now. Those are all titles with great Pro upgrades. They will also be going over Callisto in the direct. What would your narrative be then?

You didn’t mention cost, therefore it doesn’t apply to this argument and my statement is true. More power equates to more frames per second at a greater fidelity. Sure, you can compromise, but with a decent budget, those compromises tend to dwindle while getting a steady 60, or if you want,120fps or even 240. It’s all about what you are trying to accomplish, but on PC you have infinitely more choices to make than on a console and ultimately, more power.
