I'm mostly irritated because this makes it nearly impossible for 3DS games to chart, and cheaper games not named Minecraft will need a miracle to appear.
Agreed.

I was right on the markCrazy Ass Predictions
* Mirror's Edge Catalyst charts quite higher than expected
Revenue ranking theoretically shouldn't matter that much, but the times when it will matter are going to really fuck with things.
Question for you since you seem to be someone who might be able to provide some insight: is NPD still as relevant to actual subscribers as ever? If NPD's plan to become irrelevant to consumers is planned (and working), is that bleeding over to the other side of the fence at all? Just curiousAs planned.

What's even the point of this?
The data that people pay for is much more detailed than that, right?
This new format kinda sucks.
Probably even includes season passes unless games have those double asterisks alongside them. It's pretty bad and as pointed out we'll be seeing just more of the same old AAA titles. Which we were seeing before but if we're going into revenue we'll be seeing a lot more of.
I didn't read the full OP, except around bonded parts, but does this also include DLC/transactions? I'm assuming it does so if we see new DLC months down the line for some games then that could move games like DS3 back into the Top 10 in slow months.
Full by month by platform units, revenue and price for every physical title, and the same for digital distribution on Steam, PSN and XBL if you're a participating publisher.
I know Nintendo doesn't have many third party games, but are eshop games counted? Like the Wii U version of Lego Star Wars?
I fully except GTA V to be on every NPD from here till 6 months after GTA 6 release
I'm just wondering why haven't they dropped single-player dlc. It would most definitely make them back 20x's what they spent on it.

That list is incorrect.
As planned.
Wow so this is how it ends?
Nope.
A Mirrors Edge game in a Top 10 spot wrt. revenue. That just seems too unbelievable. Maybe NPD was confused where to put the comma?
These rankings are a waste of time imo. No platform differentiation, no fun in it.
Sad if you remember the good ole tymes...
If NPD is going to be that secretive, more so than they already were, why release any NPD report at all? Keep everything exclusive to subscribers. Less work they have to do to try and hide things.
This new format is setup for misleading PR speak.
Don't like this new format. No actual sales ranking, platform splits, etc.
