I hope Sony starts to consider having a different OS for their tv's because jesus man.
I love A95K, but one thing I despise for a TV in this price range is the OS. At first it's fine, but as time goes on and I use it a week or so it becomes very sluggish, to the point where it becomes a slideshow and then just freeze completely. Just had it while trying to watch a movie. I am guessing the cache becomes full or something else, since you never really fully power the TV off, it's all sleep mode nowadays.
But I think I can avoid this issue if I just fully turn it off once every week or so by pulling the plug before I go to sleep. Next day I'll put it in again. I've been told its not a good idea to fully power these TVs off for a long time, but a few hours surely won't hurt?
