I have just returned to these forums this week so not sure if there are many conversations in off-topic, I like the one stop option for all my MCU rather than visiting multiple threads.

I'm personally quite sad to see Ant-Man and the Wasp making so little money (compared to other MCU films). I thought it was a fun and enjoyable romp with just a few minor complaints. I know it was a humour based film but I felt a few scenes could have worked better if they played them straight.

I'm interested in seeing it, but was told it takes place before IW. No way I am paying for theater food and tickets to see anything that predates IW at the current time. No matter how good the film is, I know I will be disappointed unless the story advances where IW left off.

The movie is set before Infinity War, it's a pretty self contained film, lots of fun. If you are worried about Infinity War spoilers make sure you leave as soon as the credits role.

Yeah, I’ll be skipping all until the IW sequel. But not skipping altogether, just not paying to see in a theater. I’d rather just watch at home after it hits on demand. I have enjoyed pretty much all the movies, but I know myself and that I’ll be let down getting no advancement if I pay 80 for a movie and food for family that doesn’t advance the overall plot.
