"Producer" is used lightly for him. Pretty much the guy gets money for stuff, probably securing a portion of the overall budget, and they throw him a bone by giving him a no-show, do-nothing credit.

This. I suspect he hasn't even seen most of the films he 'produces'. He does slate financing which means these films as just numbers on a spread sheet to him.

His producer credit is a contractual thing hence why he doesn't get the "pga" tag after his name.
