Kotaku is concerned that Dragon Age: Veilguard was snubbed for the TGA and if you disagree, they have a few choice words for you

Stellar Blade, Silent Hill 2 and Space Marine 2 got snubbed for DLC and a card game.
Dragon Age doesn't deserve the sales it got, let alone awards.
This. Even if we took out the terrible Erdtree/Balatro nominations DA would still
Not deserve to be in the race when you have stuff like every single game you mentioned. All 3 are miles more deserving then DA.

From The article:

“Inevitably, there will be those who say The Veilguard wasn’t snubbed and that it just didn’t deserve recognition. Pushing aside the bad-faith transphobic and racist nonsense that’s been surrounding the games for months, there’s a discussion to be had there. It is, without a doubt, one of the more divisive gamesin BioWare’s catalog. But anyone who thinks its timing didn’t play a factor in its complete absence is kidding themselves, and this kind of fundamental failing will affect games you like just as much as ones you don’t one day. Justice for Gareth David-Lloyd, you deserved a Best Performance nod for your work as Solas.”
LUL. Get fucked.

I find it hilarious that every single time these comatose website chill for failguard, they always give zero reasons to why the game actualy deserves to be nominated for GOTY. Its always about identity politics. "Look how diverse this game is, why didnt it got nominated more?" Get REKT!

Transphobic is petty, but at least there's been controversy over Taash being non-binary, so I get why they're pushing that angle. But racist?

Btw I have talked a lot of shit about TGA for years and still do, but I will be honest... if Geoff Keighley and crew tell the outlets to get fucked on this issue, it will win me over a little. Like if they hold their ground and don't do some dumb shit like giving DA V some honorary shout out segment, I won't think of TGA as a total joke.

It will also be telling about the behind the scene currents happening in the business.

I was a bit surprised not to see it on the GOTY list but then again probably a safe move not to aggravate all the angry man-children.

We'll need your breakdown of the conspiracy agenda against Silent Hill 2. Clearly every game not being nominated has a nefarious plot working against it in the shadows.

I somehow missed the racism part. Haven't seen a single race related thing to do with DA:V.

I'm not typically one to beat a dead horse, but it's like they want people to hate them when they take that extra step towards being ridiculed.

EA doesn't have enough cash to pay for the award this year...Wukong has some DEEP gourds this year filled with ACTUAL money where as BioWare just has promises of retruning to their roots.
Besides....they need to save all the pennies they can for their Disney "merger".

I was excited at first and then Veilguard started to bore me. I’d vote for Elden Ring DLC multiple times, all day long if I knew that would guarantee its spot at #1. BioWare isn’t the same BioWare. It’s like The Force Awakens, but it’s BioWare’s next game.

They’re more like Rise of Skywalker - writing so bad that fanfics do a better job.

They are right that TGA does not have a serious process compared to things like the Grammys or BAFTA. But they are missing the point that compared to a real award show, almost nobody cares who wins the awards in the show. People only really turn up to watch exclusive trailers.

I’m playing it right now, it should have been on the list. I don’t care though, or care why it isn’t because it doesn’t fucking mean anything.

Veilguard is transphobic imo

They purposefully made Taash insufferable with a resting bitch face so people may assume all non-binary folk are that awful

If you want to see a trans character done right look no further than the bar owner in Hogwarts Legacy
