Henry Cavill Warhammer 40K TV Series Might Not Happen

He should just take one of the scripts he's been workshopping and a bunch of nicely painted minis and just act it out on a table top. Call in some favors for some celebs, basically make it a WH40K version of something like Critical Role blended with a puppet show. I bet that would do pretty well and give everyone an idea of where he wants to go with the IP.

If he does it shirtless after a couple of weeks of prep I bet it will get 95% female viewers as well :p

Can You Imagine What SureAI Is Going To Do With Garfield?
Basically, the current political climate and everyone jumping on leftist, purity ideal will make the show impossible to be faithful to WH40k. Considering WH40k and its entire lore is basically antithesis of what politically correct leftists believe.

Also, GW will never agree to something that they don't have the power over Amazon and writers when it comes to their IP and Henry Cavil; is just too much of a faithful fan of WH40k to compromise to anything to not repeat the Witcher mistake.

It was a pipe dream from the beginning.
I was just reading r/40klore and somebody asked if trans people existed in 40k. Apparently there are a few examples in canon as well as non binary characters who even use they/them pronouns. One odd one is a trans Necron but not sure how that works. Male Eldar and Drukhari apparently sometimes transition to fit in with all female groups. Oh and supposedly the Emperor is dark skinned and was once a female. Although in artwork he always looks more Native American to me but I guess that could be considered dark skinned.

I mean, the whole 40k world is so incredibly fucked up, so a bit of bodily mutilation here and there is nothing.

The clock is ticking. Amazon will lose the rights if they can’t come to an agreement with Games Workshop by the end of December.

As a company GW has never been stronger with a market cap of around £4.5 billion. Part of the growth has been attributed to licensing the IP such as to games like SM2. With the upcoming release of the Amazon Secret Level episode it’s only likely to improve its reach further.

I’m hoping that GW’s growth and success gives them the confidence to be uncompromising with Amazon who have a track record for putting out some very poor adaptions of beloved IP. Maybe Amazon and GW want to see how the Secret Level episode performs before they agree?

I’m a 40K fan but hope the deal falls through if I’m honest. I’m already concerned that it’s going to be diluted and butchered in an effort to reach a larger audience.
I agree that Amazon can butcher IP but who else will give them the budget even a basic space marine story would require let alone a sweeping epic? No one.

The Emperor was born in Anatolia so would likely look like an Anatolian Turk. But he is also a Psyker of significant power so changing his appearance and gender would be child’s play. He has lived both as a man and woman over his long life, so as to better understand mankind.

As for Necrons they are machines so gender is probably a more nebulous concept for them. They reflect what they were back when they had souls and flesh, but changing that is likely quite easy.

I don’t believe he has lived as a woman or a man but rather appeared as either.

I’d have to double check the quote though to be sure. It’s in one of the last two seige of Terra books and is from Malcador I think?
