Too bad people are leaving HaloGAF following this story. While I understand the move, it's unfortunate the community, which is from my opinion a different entity than the owner of NeoGaf, is suffering for this.

Discord isn't just the same and it won't replace a forum imo. See you one day everyone!

I dont feel an absolute need to leave GAF, I dont know evilore from Sam, I just like having this format to read and talk about my interests.

But in todays world, it's all about association, and some (most) people don't want the connection.

Like if it came out that Dr Pepper was accused of sexual harassment I wouldn't stop drinking Dr Pepper. Idk it is what it is, none of us did anything wrong *shrug*

Yeah it really sucks that this is going to kill a lot of comminities here. Discord just isn't close to the same.

Just a forewarning, apparently I can only send 1 message every 10 minutes. I'll get around to everyone, it just might take a while.

If you want to speed the process up, send me a PM on slaent (my name is jem there) with the exact same message as you sent me here (to make sure it's actually you, we're being careful to make sure randoms don't sneak in).

Kinda sucks we won't be having people like Frankie, Tashi, Grim, etc. visit and post here anymore. I'll still be posting here but I believe I'm in the Halo discord though I'm not 100% sure it's the same once since I never use Discord but hopefully I'll see you guys start posting here more often as time goes on and into Halo 6 launch.

This site was once filled with marketing shills and now better who loved the communities are banding together.

Catching up from the weekend, no not that - hcs, and holy shit that splyce v optic fathom ctf game! Utter insanity. Crazy stand offs, flag fumbles, flag saves, flag juggles, flag chokes, and last second of over time clutch flags. Bananas. Possibly the best match I've ever seen.

Arf; no thanks. Nothing against COG, but the forum's design is awful, reminds me of forum from 2001 era. Not gonna lie, NeoGaf put a huge standard for me regarding forum readability, organization and overall experience. Nothing came close to Gaf recently on those points.

Still curious about ResetERA, I'll keep an eye on this, and maybe I will re-active my account on Beyond, but I heard the community there is way too hardcore for someone like me (I don't want my feelings to be hurt you know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯).
