Wow, time flew that fast? Surprisingly, HL2 doesn't make it to my top 10 games of all time but for some reason when I boot it up, I feel compelled to finish it.

Definitely the way to do the 20 years anniversary celebration of your (once) flagship title.

And yeah, hopefully they're back at developing the third game.

So they packed Episode 1 and 2 into Half Life 2.

Apparently you have to run the game once if you want your old achievements to pop again.

So now we have Half Life 1 - Half Life 2 and Half Life Alyx on Steam.

Half Life 3 is definitely happening.

Hey..
I can't find episode and episode 2 on steam.
few months back i bought the half life complete pack.
Does it include episode 1 and 2?

That game was an obsession. So many questions then: Will Half-Life 2 be better than Doom III and Far Cry? Is my pc enough for this game? When will this game be release? How can a single player game require Steam and maaaany more. When Half-Life 2 was released the main question became..."Can I grab and throw this thing?".

Very interesting and wonderful year.

Episode 1 and 2 have been included in Half Life 2 now so it's only one page on Steam and one game in your library. When you launch Half Life 2 you'll be able to select which game you want to play.

The pages for Episode 1 and 2 are still online but can't be found from the search bar.

Orange Box :

If your old achievements don't pop when you launch Half Life 2, launch the old versions of episode 1 and 2 first (from the Steam page click play if can't find them in your library) and then relaunch Half Life 2. It worked for me.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife

Definiteny way better and puts to shame what Epic has done to Unreal. Day and night, really.

Fuck you Tim. Thanks for the free games tho.

Thinks buying more servers can fix a bad patch

Taking a look at SteamDB, the hullabaloo around Half-Life 2's 20th anniversary has sent fans coming back to the single player FPS in droves: With a 24 hour peak of 52,027 players at the time of writing, that's more people playing Half-Life 2 than at any point since Steam started keeping track of concurrent players (or at least the data became available) in 2008.

Do remember to check out the prequel before or after you played HL2. While Half-Life is the original, there's a 3rd party remake titled "Black Mesa" which is great if you can't tolerate outdated graphics. The game is on sale right now

Can't believe 20 years has passed so quickly, i remember playing Half Life 2 at the time and couldn't put the game down, my Steam has updated the games, so i'll give it another replay soon.

I remember installing it and being angry I had to install something called "steam".
I remember installing it from physical media, getting annoyed at having to install Steam and make an account to then only get proper set off when Steam had to verify my game files and it kept failing so I couldn't play. I was so excited to play it and I couldn't because the servers were too busy :messenger_grinning_sweat:
Game absolutely delivered when Steam finally verified my copy and allowed me to play

Neat thing is how Valve is doing so much to celebrate the 20th anniversary, unlike most other companies.

Yeah idk how to feel about it since they never finished it. Like celebrate the game by actually finishing the work. The game after ep 2 was in amazing shape. The excuse they wanted something fresh every time is just so hollow. Zero excuse they were rolling in profit from steam a platform largely adopted bc of how good HL2 was. No one wanted it when it launched.

They should jump straight to HL3. Explore the Borealis

This shit's free? Nice!

One has to wonder why they've done the worst expansion instead of the better one, but I'm not complaining.
Hope we get Opposing Force at some point.
Yeah just that video today morning, out of nowhere.

Anyways just booted again HL2 again.
Graphics looks upgraded to what i saw when i played almost 15-20 years ago!!
