I got a Quest 3, but I have not gone real deep into it. I did sideload that indie store on it. I forget the name.

I still need to try out the new Batman game. I was playing that Star Wars Galaxy's Edge game.

I also watched Captian EO in 3D on it.

it's a quest 3s. imo the image I posted looks really blurry/lowres for some reason, actually using it appears to look much better I think.

The 3 supposedly has MUCH better lenses than the 3s though (pancake lenses instead of, whatever the fuck the 3s has), and I easily think the 200 bucks are worth the upgrade. So if you can spare it get the 3 instead of the 3s. The 3s definitely feels like you still need to somewhat get used to using it, apparently the pancake lenses on the 3 make a worlds difference.

for me it's fine though, I don't use other displays anymore, so there's definitely no issue for me reading text or anything. be advised that the pass through has the quality of what I imagine it must feel like looking through night vision goggles. it's certainly serviceable and without passthrough I probably wouldn't use this for 10 minutes straight, but that's actually what I'm most excited seeing improved in further iterations.

also your pc needs to be kinda beefy I think, especially if you want multiple displays running. The device really only becomes worthwile for me once I purchased "virtual desktop" for $25 bucks, which was like within the first hour of purchasing the quest itself. it's kinda essential imo. Otherwise you're either limited to using the Android Fork the Quest is running, which is HEAVILY limited, or some other app instead, which aren't nearly as good as vd.

Also, on a side note, Windows 11 is surprisingly nice to use this way. They introduced some touch features over 10, which work with the quest controller. Resizing Windows, Tapping on a youtube video to skip, seeking in movies, selecting text and such become really nice to use this way. I mostly ditched my mouse as well.

my sleep cycle is kinda a mess. I woke up like 10 hours ago, around 9pm. I decided to get drunk again this weekend (reasoning being I can't drink next week because I'll have surgery - so what other choice do I have but to drink this weekend, right?!), so now it's almost 7am and I can go buy some booze. spent the evening smoking a bowl and dicking around, it's insane how quickly this "day" went by.

also just started diablo 4.

i am kicking myself for spending so much money on them.... i got maybe 2 cards worth $25-30. and a few $1-2 cards.

either i'm gonna need to go all in or step the fuck back. i don't have the kinda money to keep this up lol. i have 28x packs of the next expansion preordered. i'll decide what i wanna do in January once that's out.

getting my moneys worth...about to redeem all the codes in the PC game. i think you get a digital booster pack for every physical pack so i have 100+ digital booster packs to redeem.

i need to learn how to actually play the game now i suppose :D

One man's Pokémon cards are another man's crystal meth. You do you.

Remember what I told you about the "idea off/ordering/waiting process gives more dopamine than receiving/having it.

Gimme a sec, Moon made a video about it lemme look. NVM can't find it.

yeah.... to be honest there wasn't that much excitement ordering/waiting for them. opening the packs was the hit. and then there was the realization that this is probably a waste of money...

but now i want to sell the spares and get money back to buy more. also i had another 74 packs in my basket that i was thinking about ordering....

there is this one rare/valuable card right now at £/$400 so that's the carrot....if only i could get that then it'll be worth it. if i can get 2 then i can sell one and buy more cards! lol

it's addictive and gambling.

i'll snap out of it soon i'm sure.

get some fuckin tunes up in 'ere

Well said Artoris Artoris

Seriously tho like I've said a big part is the thrill of the chase plus the "what if I've get..." aspect.

It goes without saying that it's quite a common subconscious psychological way of self soothing.

Just be aware of the process an all blabla
nice try....

i'm waiting for Stellar Blade to come to PC :p nothing wrong with getting it on PS5 but might as well wait now and you know what I'm like when it comes to games to I'm in no rush.

Still grieving and it still doesn't feel right the invest in another pet; like, I'm somehow replacing her you know? I'd preferably like to have 2 kittens but I'm neighing towards something like a chinchilla or something.
All in good time. No rush.
Feels lonely tho after almost 14 years.
Please don't get a chinchilla. They can get many health issues and when ill go down hill rapidly and cost a fortune! I'm on my last one out of seven, don't do it to yourself mate.

7 Squirrel sounds nice.

But seriously though; I am eventueel going to look and do my homework regaring a small pet in the future.

Lots of variables to take into accountant and once more no rush.

It's definitely on my mind.
