I don't think people who actually play Fornite have any problem finding the Android version, especially since they do such a good job of pushing it in-game already.

IIRC Fortnite is the #1 streamed game through Xbox on iOS due to them not requiring a GP sub to use it to stream Fortnite.

And it's not Epic's fault it's not on the Google Play Store or the App Store. It's Apple and Google for banning them. Sure, Epic was stupid for circumventing the 30% cut, but a permanent ban to the biggest game on the world is completely idiotic on the part of Apple and Google.
I don't know how much 'number 1 streamed game' means here. I think there was a much larger audience if the game was simply on google play store and ios store and back then, Fornite was seeing massive growth in those final years before being taken off. Player count would have been in the stratosphere by now if it hadn't.

And while I'm on Epic's side and I'm glad somebody with the funds is taking on apple's walled garden approach, the circumvention was a very calculated move on Sweeney's part. He knew exactly what would happen (obviously google/apple aren't going to allow it lest it encourage other devs to do the same). By then, he already had his army of lawyers guiding his next moves and he's been playing those, to limited success, thanks to the EU market.

Plays as good as any other TPS and feels far more tactical and considered than something like COD. I love it.
Yeah, that’s the thing. I don’t play CoD either, used to but it became so boring to me over the years. Competitive shooters just are not my thing and haven’t been for almost a decade now…

Before Fortnite went BR, Resistance & Killzone were already done. SOCOM and Warhawk/Starhawk were super extra dead due to Lightbox and Zipper closing, Halo was walking dead with Halo 5, and the developers of Battlefield had "no idea why players liked Bad Company 2", leading to the franchise being on life support.
Funny thing about complaining about trend chasing killing halo was halo also caused trend chasing,
But yeah it isn't fortnite's fault ms drove halo and gears off a cliff of Hermann "horny for horizon" Holst seems to have no interest a premiere fps for Sony,
Bit the trend chasing is as dumb as it was with halo and cod, fortnite players don't need another fortnite like experience, because they have fortnite

Anyway my thoughts on fortnite
I don't like it, don't like the gameplay and hate the art, but it doesn't bother me its popular,
People don't need to like what I like

i quite enjoyed the game but uninstalled it and don't play it anymore. wouldn't be against going back to it.

haters gonna hate. the game is huge and it's a sign of the times. it's kinda like the new Pokemon. i remember thinking Pokemon won't last but here we are decades later and it's still huge. I'm not saying Fortnite is that big but just because YOU don't like it and want to see it die doesn't mean it's bad. Times move on. It's a new generation of gaming.

I’m not hating because it’s popular, but honestly… I don’t get the appeal, I just don’t.
and that's OK. you don't need to like everything. 11.6m people disagree with you....and that's OK too.

The thing is that the gameplay is so awful. I tried it many years ago and it was like a home made version of a real game compared to Apex Legends or even Warzone.
"many years ago" and a "real game" is Apex/Warzone? Can't take you serious :messenger_loudly_crying:

Yes, Apex and Warzone were essentially the only battle royale games worth playing. A quick glance shows that they still are. Should I have said Fall Guys?

Yeah, you are right. Fall Guys is a superior game.

That’s why I enjoy it too. I can’t stand the repetitiveness of MP games like CoD, where you kill a few, die, and then respawn ad nauseam.

Fortnite is tactical and lets you go from 100 to 1, allowing you to play in a multitude of ways similar to how Warhawk had back in the day.

There’s also no health regen or loadout bullshit that kids seem to love.

People idolized rock and pop stars in the 80s/90s and there was shitty rock music alongside the good ones just like there's shitty rap music alongside the good ones today. And you're talking about weed skins as if weed wasn't huge in the 80s/90s to distract people from the US crack epidemic of the <checks notes> 80s and 90s lol.
Difference was the rap music from the 80s to early 00s was mostly decent. Pop in the 80s at least is memorable and had tons of hits still popular today (yet I can't name or know the lyrics of one taylor swift song). The problem is rock died completely as the torch wasn't passes by my Gen (Gen x to millennials). They went on to invent numetal and emo (barf)... Which was not seen as cool by Gen z, and then the lack of records and streaming killed the rest. I could go on with this but wrong forum....

Bad company 2, battlefield 2 to bf4 were the best imo. That studio went woke with bf5 and never recovered (which sucks as I love ww2 era games...). For the games I mentioned they could do reboots. I don't get how game publishers don't realize people my age have disposable income. Id love playing resistance or Killzone in an open world style game. Like a stalker 2 style Killzone. Or Motorstorm, but without rock and metal, it wouldn't work. It needs adrenaline pumping music. Some rap sure but not all of it.

As for weed skins... I was a big time smoker back, then, but we never had snoop Dog in Mario brothers. It's kinda crazy that a game meant for kids fortnite has him, weed skins and foul mouthed cardi b. Like kids don't see this shit. It just feels weird is all. I get it kids and teens will find the stuff anyway. But at least back then there was some obstacles. Shit felt transgressive because it was. There was a thrill in sneaking around and doing stuff or knowing something the mainstream didn't know. Now when the mainstream is promoting for cash... Yeah doesn't seem right. Imo.
