I think it's in drastic need of more combos. At least remake, I haven't played rebirth.

I only played the first game and i thought it was ok at best other than the great animations.
Not as good as a pure action xcombat system nor as good as a full turn based one, and nursing the squad because they have suicide tendencies wasn't fun at all.
Not sure what they improved jn rebirth but it would have need a gigantic overhaul to be "perfect".
