I was hoping for a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI WRC, but I guess the Subaru is a fine substitute.
Yes. The cars generate significantly less grip (most notably on the tarmac stages), making the cars much more lively. They also seem to react to weight transfer, particularly lateral, more convincingly. I have only tried the M3, Escort and Stratos so far and they are all a big improvement. Before the update, it was necessary to adjust the setup to force more oversteer (particularly if you're using realistic steering rotation values). Now, the cars rotate happily on the defaults.I presume this is the '2.0' car engine they talked about in one of the Dirt shows. Anyone noticing significant differences in any of those cars?
It's disappointing to see they still haven't fixed the SLI flickering rain/snow bug, but I'm enjoying the new Finland stages.
God, I need to upgrade my GPU.
Sorry, perhaps my post came across sounding more negative than intended. It's just a small niggle but it's good to hear it will be fixed at some point. The initial release of the game back in May and the progress you've made with it since then is commendable. We're trying our best to balance adding new stuff with fixes in every update, (we only have around 20 working days between updates). As long as there's a post on the Steam tech forum it will be looked at.
Happy that people are enjoying Finland and the new handling! I'd suggest you all go back and try the 60s, 70s and 80s cars, they all have the v2 handling too.
It doesn't run THAT badly and it is playable, but I have to knock it down to 720P to get decent framerates out of it. And it still stutters a little because crossfire. It's an ancient setup (5850 and 5970 in tri-fire) and I think the 1GB total VRAM isn't helping!Does it run too badly on your rig? Maybe we can help you.
I haven't noticed it, I play solely in bonnet/hood cam, is there an easy way to test it?Got this last night and love it!!
Are they aware of the frame pacing issue? It's running at a locked 60 fps but hitches every 5 seconds or so which would seem to indicate a frame pacing issue. Kinda distracts a bit, but isn't too noticeable in certain camera views.

I haven't played this since the first month it was available. I stopped before any additions were brought on and haven't checked in on what's new since then. I'll just see new updates every once in a while. Wonder what I'm in for...I can't believe how much stuff they add to this game.
Put the camera behind the vehicle, and get onto a straight-ish section and just watch as the trees and such go by. Should be able to see the stutter that way.

YesI've encountered a similar issue, mentioned it in my video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8rQ7_Vuhb4
I just don't have that "jerky" motion at all, on any cam.
Second-hand market is probably the best. With the G29 being out for a little while, some folks should be looking to "upgrade" for a wheel to use on their PS4.This game is making me want a G27, don't suppose anyone knows where i could get it relatively cheap in the UK?
Game is just really something. GOTY contender easily.
is there anywhere i can check to see what content is in the game right now? (tracks, events, etc)
As for the new features weve got some Steam Workshop stuff that Ill talk more about in the coming weeks

Left for personal reasons.
Because it is an Early Access game on PC and we PC gamers are partly helping to fund Dirt Rally's development. We also act as beta testers and a focus group.why is this game not available for consoles???

When Dirt Rally is completed, it'll be released on consoles.
That was fast.
But no simcade racers, aside from BlurNow you know how we PC gamers feel when a new Forza or GT comes out* 8)
*although we have plently of sublime sims to drive
That depends on which website or forum you visit There are plenty of simcade racers but nothing close to being as well done as DriveClub or Project Gotham Racing. But no simcade racers, aside from Blur
Which ones are there? I mean, I know there's the NFS games (which have just enough bullshit in them to be irritating) but I'm pretty sure there aren't any others. I'd even settle for a "last" gen (or even last-last) if I can just crank the details in it and have a solid time. And no open-world, either. Over that shit. That depends on which website or forum you visit There are plenty of simcade racers but nothing close to being as well done as DriveClub or Project Gotham Racing.
At first I was being sarcastic as the only sim I'm yet to read is simcade is iRacing (instead half the people refer to it as Ice Racing).Which ones are there?
