If people really wanted to stream games and nudity at the same time, Plexstorm exists for almost that exact purpose.
On another note, I wonder how this will effect transgender streamers. It's become a thing in the last several months (that is, it was probably a thing before that, but it's become more common since last summer) for trans streamers to show a bit more skin on screen, either as a way to accentuate transition progress or as a show of support to people currently in transition. Or at least that's what a couple have said.

If it's designed to be a gaming platform you shouldn't have to weed through channels of people putting items in their ass before you finally find new footage of an upcoming game.
And, you people comparing porn and ease of access for kids clearly don't have kids.

As far as who is to ‘blame’: I remember reading about how movies get rated. They get a group of people who they feel represent broad community standards together and have them view the films and give their opinions. Parents, and especially mothers do not want to see or be present when their kids are consuming sexual material. It makes them very uncomfortable. And even moreso when it is divorced from any sort of irl emotion. So, having explicit sexuality in your films will result acute reactions from the review board people. Same for inhome services I bet. They will be removed from homes with parent(s) who feel uncomfortable with their children being exposed to it. So, less profit for a service like Twitch or YouTube which rely heavily upon children, tweens, and teens for revenue.

Fake violence is mostly normalised because of constant exposure over decades and decades, but it has to be a certain kind of violence. Actual violence, or fake violence that feels real is still very disturbing to people who aren't psycho/sociopaths. Seeing footage of a real head chopping as I did 10 or 15 years ago is disturbing as fuck and still makes my stomach lurch. Or seeing photographs of people in actual pain and despair...Otoh, the stuff that passes for entertainment, like marvel movies, leaves no bad feelings because it pain and consequence free, so they are fine.

It's a platform whose viewership is probably way over half children; I personally don't care... and a huge chunk of America doesn't either.. but advertisers don't find it worth it to associate their brands with that kind of thing in America.

Likely the reason given in the post above yours. Even if separate, a lot of companies wouldn’t want to wouldn’t want to support a company (via ads) that also ran a “porn” service. Quotes as it’s silly, but is what it is in the US and other places that are prudish about nudity and sexuality.

Although that is a good point, should be ok to explain to a kid that people find other bodies attractive. Also explain to him how the internet works, how the trolls work and such.
