Things you like in games but dislike in real life

This came up recently when talking with a friend about cyberpunk 2077, talking about the vehicles in the game. He prefers the more off road style cars because they look more “mad max” and I agreed that yes they do look cool, but all the actual cars in the game are a pain to drive because they are so big and unwieldy, and it’s difficult to pass and weave through traffic with them, so 99.9% of the time I drive the motorcycles in Cyberpunk.

But in real life I am not a fan of motorcycles, I feel way, way, too unsafe on them. I can’t imagine driving on a highway at 65+ mph with nothing but a leather suit protecting me from death and injury. Hell no, no thanks. Never gonna happen.

But in games all the safety concerns vanish and I am left with only the benefits. So it’s a win win, I get great acceleration, and I’m small so I can weave and dodge in between things with ease.

Another thing I love in games but dislike in real life is Snow. ❄️

It’s cold, its wet, its slippery, it’s a nightmare to drive in, it hard to walk in, etc
But in games like Skyrim, or Witcher (or any game you like that has snow in it) you get all the benefits without the draw backs (usually)
You get to see the snow blanket a landscape, and it looks so beautiful and serene. You can see the sun come up and tinge a snow covered field orange with the first rays of the mornings light. I absolutely love it, aesthetically.

It real life, hell no. In real life snow is one of those things that I like only when I choose to go to it, not when it chooses to come to me.

What things do you guys enjoy in games that you dislike IRL?

Hunting animals but I LOVE Monster Hunter.
I have to agree with this one most. I have no problem hunting animals in games for material-crafting purposes, but I absolutely loathe hunting in real life. I don't like killing animals, even if it's for food.

Man, these real life cutscenes are getting very sentimental with the flashbacks when I press X in my head.

You never need to take a shit.

For those of you who have never endured it (I dont know if it's food poisoning or a flu bug), be happy youve never had those 48 hour situations you are shitting every 40 minutes. It gets to a point your ass is so raw from wiping you will honestly think to yourself "what if my ass never heals and it's like this forever?"

I've had this 3 times in my life. All killer. I'd rather be punched in the face than do this.

I learned the word step-cest looking up what falcom is doing. Several sub reddits dedicated to this issue

I don't even consider it an issue. Estelle and Joshua met when they were 11 and at the start of Trails are age 16. 5 years. They are not kin and are well aware of it. Nothing strange whatsoever about them developing romantic feelings.

Enter random peoples houses and break everything looking for secrets.

Hitting, shooting, slashing people.

Searching for tools or anything you need to solve a problem, absolutely hate searching things in real life but somehow it’s a good exploration ingredient in any adventure game.
