From Jon Watts (the Spider-Man Home trilogy)
This guy is so fuckin bad at his job. At least he's not directing.
I didn’t watch Acolyte, did I miss anything?
If I don’t watch this, will I miss anything?
If I don’t watch these Star Wars TV shows, am I doomed to not know what the fuck is going on in the main Star Wars movies?
Well, whatever happens with Thrawn will have ZERO impact on the world. There will be no new jedi popping up. No significant change in the Alliance/New Republics slow decline, nothing alters the residual Empires conversion to The First Order. We know this because they are continuing with Rey, So whatever Thrawn does has to either happen waaaaay off stage or it ends in a whimper so weak that just a few years later everyone is totally blase about the First Order running around as "no big deal". There are like three closed loop systems (PT/OT/ST) that Lucasfilm keeps picking at but we know are sancrosanct. The only things that work well are things that play DIRECTLY into it like Rogue One or Mando s1. Later mando with all this mandalore stuff is pointless because we know Mandalore ain't gonna rise again. His last movie made $2 billion at the box office.
But you're right, it's no Rebel Moon.
This one is set at the same time as Mando and connects to whatever Filoni is doing in his Thrawn movie.
Are you pretending money = quality? I don't care how much it made based on memberberries, this guy suck ass and never did anything good. His last movie made $2 billion at the box office.

It’s today. They moved it up a day after the initial reviews.Well, crap. I thought this started today, but it is tomorrow.
Skeleton Crew was pitched as a movie idea. Obi-Wan was scripted as a movie. Big difference there.I think this drops tonight! If it does, will watch with the kids.
Though hearing this is yet another "movie turned into a series" makes me fear it will have excess draggy bits as the concept can't sustain the run time, much like Obi-wan.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew was originally supposed to be a movie
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew wasn't originally meant to be a TV series. Here's why things changed.www.yahoo.com
Ahh, thanks for correcting me, FiloniSkeleton Crew was pitched as a movie idea. Obi-Wan was scripted as a movie. Big difference there.
Initial reviews do seem positive, so I'm gonna believe them this timeIt’s today. They moved it up a day after the initial reviews.
It's hard to find good kid actors let alone great ones.Other than kids.
It is good.
Not certain why their planet is a myth.
You are back…with a BANGER of a theory!Since this is becoming the OT, need to post this here:

I haven’t thought about Captain EO in years and every-time I mention it no one knows what I am talking about.
Resizing is great Right?!Since this is becoming the OT, need to post this here:

"HEY LOOK AT ME!! LOOOOOOOOOOOOK AT MEEEEEE PLEASE! You remember this right? You love it so you're gonna love this show too please LOOK AT ME YOUHOUUUUUU remember the old feeling? That was nice right? So please watch my show it's gonna be so good you'll love it!!"
This is how it feel, and I'm 99% sure this show is gonna be shit but since it has a few callback the "Disney Defence Force" (DDF) will try everything to hype it.
Now THATS a proper Gaf culture war...modern Star Wars vs Snyders sci-fi epic.
Calling people out for being “hyped”, yet you’re the one entering the thread as if you just went through the entire Starbucks menu.
Seriously, why are you so hostile towards Mana-
(scrolls up to the earlier posts of the thread and sees Mana’s dig at Rebel Moon AKA a film by Zack Snyder, KyoZz’s main man)
Kathleen Kennedy saved Star Wars from that by rejecting his pitch. Now THATS a proper Gaf culture war...modern Star Wars vs Snyders sci-fi epic.
One of those has boobs and graphic head explosions....I know where my vote goes
It’s Goonies and Treasure Island put into a blender with Star Wars. Feels like something from the 80s.So...any good? Worth a dip?

Who would've thought when George Lucas made his lifelong friend (who was also a producer on Goonies) the head of Lucasfilm that a show that combined Goonies with Star Wars would turn out great?Thank goodness we had Kathleen Kennedy to save Star Wars for us all.

Excuse me, what?300 had boobs and graphic violence and is legit a solid film (even if their downfall could have been delayed far longer had the main guy told that one hunchback guy, “hey, we can’t fit you into our formation due to the numbers, BUT you are free to stand nearby and fight near us. You will likely die extremely fast due to being exposed, but if that is how you choose to live, far be it from me to deny you your choice.” There, no being a pointless dick to the guy which leads to a betrayal that leads to your fall in battle).

Excuse me, what?
Oh yeah and clearly you haven't seen the thread when Mana called me a dickrider in other things. Anyway Mana lost any respect I had for him a long time ago and yes, I think Disney trying to hype another product based on memberberries is shit. It wont make a good show.

I saw both Rebel Moon now (the director's cut) and OMG it's bad. First part is something like a 5/10 and the second part is 3/10. Those 2 movies are the worst stuff Snyder made. I'm not a fanboy, if I think something is bad I will say it.I know KyoZz said he hasn’t even seen Rebel Moon and even that he heard it sounded bad, but I also definitely remember the way he fanboyed for Snyder in terms of DC discussions. I don’t even dislike some of what Snyder did in DC (but I definitely wasn’t big on all of it), but I’m up for any good director adapting the comics, and feel some of the Snyder fans need to chill in that department.
Okay, it wasn’t the numbers, but his inability to raise his shield, but the point stands, he could have just fought to the side, but our main character thinks it is a wise decision to dishonor the person who told them about the one path that could lead to their formation’s downfall.
