Games and drugs aren't that different from eachother, really.
Once you realize that, everything else starts making sense.
And it wouldn't be logical to shorten time-windows, because even PC gamers claim they have no problem waiting.
The addiction to single player games from one specific publisher is nowhere near the same as the addiction to most class A drugs.
If you said MP and Live Service games which psychologically try to get you addicted id understand.......but 99% of people who dont get to play Spider-Man 2 right now, arent jonzing out the ass to play it, cuz if they were the 500 dollar investment in a Playstation 5 would have already been done.
Getting given a high from a drug, you hunt that high again......single player games very rarely have that level of impact where someone will blow their load the moment they see the announcement of a sequel.
Why shorten port windows.....because of the marketing hype.
You can capitalize on the marketing hype of the OG launch, by the time the accolades trailer or first DLC is coming out, you drop the PC version you are bound to get more PC sales from that.
There are actually a ton of PC gamers who also own other consoles.
Just go look at the two threads on here asking that very question right now.
If you read the quote train or the quote we are talking about youll understand thats not who we are talking about.
If I have a PC and a Playstation, I just played Ghosts of Tsushima on PC and loved it......then Ghost of Tsushima 2 releases on Playstation with no PC version announced.........thats not gonna entice me to buy a whole new Playstation because I already have a Playstation im just gonna go play the Playstation version.
The topic at hand is whether me as a PC only gamer will now go buy a Playstation outright because I want to play Ghost of Tsushima 2 or whether ill just wait for the PC port thats inevitably coming considering ive already waited four years to play the first one.
