There is more on this channel, but I didn't want to post the boss battle. I think it looks so good!

Things I've noticed so far(only on the first part).

1. Inventory and skill gem management looks really simple with a controller.

2. It seems there is an auto lock on(red outline on enemy) that allows you to strafe similar to Souls combat.

3. You character has some voice lines when defeating foes like "Weak!", "Tempered by victory." when leveling up, and "Rejoin the earth!" when slaying a zombie lol. Nice touch and I wonder how much control you have over them because some may find it annoying. I like them with the Warrior so far.

4. The HUD looks nice and clean. I love the inventory menu with the close up of your character.

5. The sound effects are amazing! The rain and wind sound so good!

6. The hit detection and enemies dying looks really satisfying.

7. The voice acting is very good.

8. Skills have a tutorial video with a voice over explaining it.

Nice.

Ew. That's a bit too immersion breaking, what's wrong with text?

These games don't really immerse me being isometric grind fests but I can see some not liking it. It functions like normal with text like any other ARPG but you can click on it and scroll down to "advanced info" to play the video example so it is definitely optional.

Here is about 2 hours of Monk/Witch co-op. Looks like the NDA is up so we are getting a flood of content.

Always prefered d3 above PoE

But holy shit d4 is so dog shit i might actually play this instead

Same, for me D3 is still king lol. D4 is getting there slowly. Spiritborn at least is a blast. So far the worst thing about PoE is the terrible inventory space. You can legit pick up about 5 times more shit in D4. And I do mean SHIT lol. You could have 33 two handed weapons in D4 and it looks like maybe only like 7 in PoE 2. So bad. I wish I could P2win more inventory space. Ugh.

Can't speak for PoE2 as I haven't played it yet but loot filters in these games do wonders for filtering out the garbage. Same with Last Epoch - that game has the best filter.

I only played Poe 1 for maybe 10 minutes and bailed. At the time I was still rocking D3.

But for you experienced gamers what’s the key differences between the two games?

At face value the only thing I see as a potential huge difference is Poe games have gigantic skill trees where you zoom out and it looks like there must be a spiderweb of 200 choices. Diablo games aren’t that detailed.

If we're talking PoE 2 it will have WASD movement built in instead of an after thought like it is in D4, which enables you to move in one direction while attacking in the other. So ranged characters would play like a twin stick shooter on controller for example vs. D3 where you are planted in place attacking. This ensures that depending on the class and your preference(since you can still play click to move if you want), they will play very differently. I think PoE 2 also has better aesthetics than D3 and even D4. More dark fantasy which I prefer. Many who play both would consider PoE to have better itemization as well but that is a matter of opinion. D3 and D4 also have totally separate classes as in their powers are innate while PoE has skill gems that any class can use if they have the prerequisite stats. Build diversity is insane in PoE because of that. It is theorized that PoE 2 may have even more diversity than PoE 1 because the way the passive skill tree is set up, it is easier to go from one side to the complete other side while leveling. Let's just say, your starting class in PoE works like Elden Ring where they get you started in a certain direction but you can mix and match by end game have a hybrid build of whatever you like. There is more like item crafting, supporting gems that can totally change the way your skills work, etc,.

WASD movement, 6 player co-op, massively versatile character builds, and a huge amount of endgame content.

Is there any point in downloading the first game to get acquainted or any benefits that will carry over in to the second game?

This looks very cool, looks like Diablo 2 on steroids.

I’m a bit intimidated though by the “for hardcore gamers by hardcore gamers”

I don’t have the time to be hardcore anymore 😂

I probably get an hour or two if I’m lucky a day which I appreciate is more than some.

When I installed PoE for the first time, I played it like 6h straight without pause.

Brilliant game.

I can't wait to get my hands on PoE2, but I don't know what class to play.

In the first game, I think I played Witch with dagger and it was awesome.

In PoE2, Witch looks like a true minion class which I don't like.

Need to see more gameplay of every class.

Not this close to release, you'll just end up burning out on POE1.

POE2 will be "hardcore" in that it will have a ton of depth, but anyone can take it at their own pace. 1-2 hours a day is plenty unless you're trying to race for 100. You can be sure there will be a ton of people no lifing this game haha
