The NieR Orchestra Concert 12018 held in Tokyo in September 2018 is coming to Chicago, London, and Bangkok in early 2020 as NieR: Orchestra Concert re:12018, Square Enix announced.

Here are the details, via Square Enix:
What is NieR: Orchestra Concert re:12018?

NieR: Orchestra Concert re:12018 is a live concert featuring tracks from NieR Replicant & Gestalt and NieR: Automata. It’s already been a big hit in Japan, with four sold-out performances in Tokyo in 2018, and now United States and United Kingdom audiences get to experience the spectacular multimedia event too.

The United States concert will be held in Chicago at the Rosemont Theatre on January 24, 2020; the United Kingdom leg of the tour takes place at London’s Royal Festival Hall on February 2, 2020; and the concert in Thailand takes place in Bangkok’s Prince Mahidol Hall on February 15, 2020.

The concerts will be performed by a full symphony orchestra and chorus, conducted by Grammy Award-winning conductor Arnie Roth.

They’ll both also feature the incredible vocals of renowned soloist Emi Evans. Evans, of course, is the artist who performed the vocals in NieR: Automata, so attendees should expect a fully authentic audio experience.

That said, there will be plenty to look at too. NieR series director Yoko Taro and composer Keiichi Okabe have produced new HD video projections, which will be displayed on giant screens throughout the performance.

The imagery has been specifically created for the concerts, and when combined with the sound of more than 100 musicians on stage should make for a pretty spectacular audio-visual experience.

Perpetually Tired
I managed to get a ticket, but sadly it seems all the VIP seats (or the vast majority for the Chicago Concert) were sold out during a presale that was not advertised unless you frequent social media (which I do not).

While I am excited to be able to go to this, I won't lie that I am a bit disappointed that I and many others were basically unable to even get a chance to meet Yoko Taro and Co. due to the poor management of these ticket sales.

Ahahahaha....welcome to Square-Enix ticket sales management. As someone who once attended a Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival, let me tell you I have some war stories for ya.
