Nice numbers on EO:MD. Seems to be sold out all over the place too.

DQ Heroes still seems to be doing quite well also, which is very good to see.

Most def the GE2:RB PS4 version investment payoff will come when its released in the West. Am sure they calculated Japan as an acceptable loss for the time being knowing the situation currently with PS4 sales in general.

The Mystery Dungeon series has a pretty good core following and combining the 2 fanbases gave it a boost I think. Esp with the fact the title does look interesting.

Plays well too from the time Ive spent with mine.

Sure it has some small issues but overall for a new spin on the Mystery Dungeon series I think it holds well enough on its own.

DQH did pretty much what I expected, while EOMD has surprisingly exceeded most expectations. The Shiren brand has been kinda worthless for years now, but it seems a synergy of the franchise with the EO brand has paid off pretty well.

We shouldn't just look at EOMD increasing over Untold 2. That is actually less relevant. I think it's more interesting to compare EOMD with other MD games. This is the best opening for MD games for a long time. The only remotely recent ones which have done better are the Pokemon MD games (huge brand), the first DS Shiren. Not worth mentioning the older stuff because it was a different era back then.

This definitely shows that EO is still a brand which has strong value, because MD has shown that as Shiren alone, it can't bring in the numbers anymore, but this definitely could hold its own.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
Wow at Mystery Dungeon ? Probably could have sold nearly 100k with a bigger shipment.

Am curious for how many digital sales happened with EO:MD considering physical copies are pretty hard to find atm.

What a nice surprise with PS4 hold, this week we have a new Yakuza game, so it shouldn't drop that much, if at all.

Sell-through for DQH is still high.

Etrian Mystery Dungeon did well for itself.

Quite pleasing to see Vita & 3DS holding on fairly well without any substantial new releases (not that EO didn't sell well, just that the userbase is already there).

Diabolik Lovers... -33%? For an Otome game? Seems odd. (Edit - especially it's not on Famitsu top 30. What's going on there?)

And although Dragon Quest drops were massive, the sames are still a bit higher than I was expecing.

Im interested to see if the gap shrinks between the PS3 / PS4, now that more time has passed since Ishin was released. Though the gap between the PS3 / PS4 versions was not too bad considering the system had literally just come out.

Its expected with nothing really coming out on the XB1 here to drive sales. Highly unfortunate that MS Japan is not trying something and the TGS is way too far away. :/

At least it's above the 250 units sold baseline it was at a couple weeks back. Next week it could be 500, then 600, then 800 - all massive increases in sales and a significant boon for Microsoft Japan.

Xbox Japan is basically a skeleton crew atm. I think their head transferred to the US division not too long ago.

I didnt even hear the news when Sensui the previous guy bowed out from his position. Too bad since he was a real nice guy. Had spoken to him twice before. Doubt he remembers me though lol.

I think the demo most def was a good way to give people what to expect from each version. And with how Japans "youtuber" community growing folks showed vids of both titles, which would drive the sales more towards one direction I think for the core and casual users.

Very good result for Etryan Mistery Oddisseey Dungeon RPG whatever :D
Especially considering that it is supply constrained.
DQH drops but it is selling really well, especially imho on PS4. And PS4 hold is very strong: this month will be a great month for PS4. Good old YoY also for 3DS and Wii U, while PSVita suffers a little under this point of view. Good but not great hold for Zelda MM too.
