We're talking about a concrete military shooter here that tries to be better than Call of Duty's "Modern Warfare" but falls short.

Pretty good though, with nice shooter mechanics, it's the second Medal of Honor game on the PS2 based off of frostbite and modern combat, this campaign deservers a playthrough.

The direction is clear, stop terrorists from their mission of destruction, like preventing hostages from being killed, wrestling bombs out of their hands, the game has "Breach" elements that makes this campaign feel great and I think they were going for a realistic military experience, but I remember the old days on the PS2 and you could command your teammates who are named after things like "Rabit", or "Voodoo" etc. and you'd have your squad mate waiting 30ft ahead ready to breach or fire, kill out an area of enemies, and that command feature isn't here years later.

One of the characters, Dusty, mother, preacher, stump names you remember, but not as interesting as COD's "Captain Price" soldier.

Released in 2012, I was in high school, you see games like Borderlands 2, Halo 4 (343's first attempt), and Black Ops 2 and so you get this low key medal of honor game in the mix of that with awesome stealth missions, the sniper mission makes you happy and I look back upon it with grace

Now the multiplayer is dead, shut down from EA, I think it passed the standard test back than, quality maps, uninspired menus and challenges like getting headshots.

Overall Medal of Honor Warfighter does a good job at honor troops today, with a significant amount of detail on terrorists, chasing down terrorist guys through middle eastern cities, if you can find this game for 20 bellow it's worth it.

What did GAF think of Medal of Honor Warfighter?

I always wanted to buy it, but I didn't have the time.

It seemed interesting and fresh with the Frostbite engine. In the online game you were supposed to play as a German or a Norwegian, right?

I liked the sp campaign and I finished it, but the multiplayer didn't grabbed my attention.

Coincidentally I am planning to replay it soon along the first part, which I also enjoyed. I bought both at launch on the ps3 and I enjoy having them in my collection.

I only played the MP demo, but it was one of the worst shooters I had played. That was when EA was trying to do MoH and WF as a 1-2 combo of military shooters.

WF was so bad getting grilled they released to website reviewers a guidebook how to review the game to get the most of of it.

I really enjoyed the 2010 reboot (campaign, to be specific, the DICE-developed multiplayer was awful). The sequel had a lot of potential but EA interfered during development to a retarded degree. For example, the lead producer explained there wouldn't be any bin Laden-related missions in the game because "That's not our story to tell... That's 'family business' to [the Tier 1 Operators]. It's been an interesting exercise learning what's okay and what's not okay [to portray in the game]."

Guess what was in the final product (using the title "the Cleric")? No surprise either that the first MP DLC was a map pack tied to Zero Dark Thirty, just so EA could have more marketing material.

They would have put in a Bin Laden mission and that's it... Whoever wants to play it forward, whoever doesn't... No, that's it.

I played this one on PC. The SP was boring, so I gave up on it after a couple of hours in.
But the MP was a different matter. It took me a while to get into it, but when it clicked, I really enjoyed it.
It had it's problems, but it also had a ton of potential. If only EA hadn't abandoned it after a few months, it could have become one of the best MP games of it's era.
