The XSS has the slimmer form factor and the contrast of the "speaker" grille. But on XSX all that negative space, in white and on a plain box just looks meh..

Remember that they did this last gen to with the Xbox One All Digital Edition. It just didn't have the cutout and a huge empty space on the inside.
