"Denuvo Games" on Steam posted this image from PLAION support that confirms:
No day one gog.com release, and Denuvo anti-tamper and activation checks.

Steam page says nothing about Denuvo. Lol, also nothing about minimum specs and we can already pre order!
They just haven't put it on there yet. Earth Defense Force 6 updated their page on release day if i remember right to include that Epic services was required.

Yeah but they can't omit stuff like that as the consumers need to know what they are buying. Will be a shit show like EDF.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
The first game also had overly aggressive DRM at launch, and didn't come to GOG until a few weeks later.

But - Denuvo means there will likely be performance issues on top. Lovely.

First game had no DRM

Also, Embracer's survival partially depends on KCD2 so no surprise Plaion wants to protect against piracy.

Might as well wait then for patches, Denuvo removal and sales.

I can see the game having performance problems at launch anyways.

Game had a weird always-online DRM when it first launched on Steam. It was some sort of bug (apparently) that was fixed in a patch.

The actually DRM free release was two weeks after the Steam release, presumably to make as many sales as possible on PC before pirates did their thing.

Embracer needs every penny as it looks like. :messenger_pensive: Its just sad that Warhorse isnt independent like Larian. Pretty sure they wouldnt have gone this route if it would be their own decision.

Can they remove it from the console version so we can get 60 frames finally I mean it is 2024?
