This audience now has another game to add to their wishlists with the announcement of Echo Point Nova from developer Greylock Studio who previously made the FPS Severed Steel which was released in 2021 across PC and consoles. Similar to its predecessor, Echo Point Nova features fast-paced combat, a dazzling soundtrack, and an emphasis on mobility. However, it distinguishes itself with the addition of co-op and large open-world environments that allow for greater mobility and make space for larger enemies like mechs. Echo Point Nova was announced to release this year on the Severed Steel Twitter account which also encouraged players to wishlist the game on Steam where they can also view a trailer.

Greylock Studio developer Matthew Larrabee shared more teasers from the game on Twitter while adding that he has "taken lessons learned" from the development of Severed Steel and applied them to Echo Point Nova. This could imply that Echo Point Nova could be coming with some of the features that were included in the latest major Severed Steel update which added gyro controls, a flurry of new weapons and enemy types, and the "Rogue Steel" game mode which gave players access to randomly generated levels.

PC bros, where you at? This has been out for a couple months:

This game has by far one of the best movement in any FPS ever. It's super smooth and runs like a dream. It looks incredibly fluid on a 240hz monitor, I can't imagine how this could look on a 480hz set.

While looking at gameplay videos you might think it's difficult to pull all those moves off, but the control system is actually pretty simple. You can also disable all the distracting effects like dynamic FOV and camera shake, so the camera can look quite stable while doing all those maneuvers.

I have played a couple of hours, the game does not seem overly difficult for now.

Price point might seem high for a ~6 hours game, but man it feels so good to play this game.

But have you seen Titan Fall?
Yep, Titanfall is great but it has an extremely high skill ceiling if you want to pull off crazy stuff during competitive play.

This one is quite simple by comparison (it's mostly a single player game anyway), but the movement feels extremely good nonetheless. It has a weird addicting quality, at least for me.

Finished it in around ~10 hours, clearing all islands and collecting all items.

Really fun experience overall, one of the best games I've played this year for sure. I basically devoured it in a couple of days.

The movement gets pretty insane towards the end: if you collect all the agility orbs scattered throughout the world, you gain enhanced movement options such as additional jumps and infinite grappling hook uses. At that point, you might as well never be on the ground while blasting enemies around. The only thing I wished for was an additional difficulty option, the game is not really that hard, even though I've died a few times.

There is a post-game mode where previously cleared islands increase in difficulty and provide you with more rewards (additional perks for your character). The author is also planning on including Steam Workshop support, with new maps integrated seamlessly in the world map. That's a cool idea, I hope it pans out well.

Btw as stated by nikos above, there is a demo, so it's worth checking out:
