Happy holidays

Iconic PS1 survival horror Dino Crisis was released on PlayStation last month, but was only available for PS Plus Premium subscribers.

Now, though, the game has been made available to purchase for all and isn't locked behind a subscription.

What's more, another PS1 classic of the genre is also available to purchase separately: Resident Evil Director's Cut.

I feel that capcom should release RE 1.5 to psn and market it as a new “classic”. just call it resident evil 2 alternate or something. from what i have played its very interesting but i can see why they canned it

I'm in for Dino Crisis. Haven't played that since I rented it 20+ years ago....

EDIT: why isn't it showing up for me on the site? Do you have to be subscribed to Plus to see it?

Ummm ok, so I log out and then search for it, it shows up, I sign back in then when I add to cart, it prompts me to sign up to Plus.

EDIT 2: Never mind, at the bottom of the cart you can press skip to checkout and then game shows up to purchase. Weird but whatever...

Thanks a million man!!!! Been waiting and hoping for this for what feels like years now. Got both for "free" but couldn't touch them until now. So stupid but at least they're finally available to us old purchaser plebs.

Yeah, shows up as "Purchased" for me too, though, I don't remember ever buying it, in fact I think I burned a copy back in 1999 when it 1st came out. :messenger_tears_of_joy:
Sony offered free games after the identity theft breach, maybe that's how you guys ended up with this.

It’s only been two generations since that happened, and you’ve already forgotten what you had in your cart. Companies that don’t carry over licenses for digital purchases between generations (looking at you, Nintendo) are counting on situations like this. They’re banking on consumer forgetfulness, rubbing their greedy hands together, and hoping you don’t realize you’ve already bought this or that on an older version of their e-shop. Planned obsolescence for your memory.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Already bought RE DC last night when they put them up for purchase.

Very weird decision on Capcom's part but finally they saw reason.

RE Director's Cut must have been available for a while, as I've downloaded mine like a few weeks ago and it was free for me. Was super impressed by the port, absolutely amazing audio on the home theatre and very clean and cohesive image.

Gonna jump on Dino Crisis immediately, that one should also be free.

Yup Dino Crisis was free for me. Must’ve bought it digitally at some point back during the PS3 days.
I have it on PS3 Digitally along with all the Resident Evils.
They're not showing up free here

Need Dino Crisis 2 the better game on there. I already own it physical and got it on PS3 via downloading from a friend's US account but people need to access the better game. Dino Crisis one has a good atmosphere and music but the puzzle system is a nightmare and you aren't really meant to shoot the dinosaurs just run away.

Already own RE Director's Cut but instabought Dino Crisis. Weird of Capcom to lock it to premium. Glad it's been made available for purchase. It's a kick ass game.

Thanks for the heads up op. Nice to be able to download (PS1/PS2) PS3 PSN games for free once they’re available on PS4/PS5.

Make sure to search for them on the store manually by typing in the game names. If you search for it in the classics catalogue, it still shows up a PS+ tier download. So it's a little bit confusing.

You're right about it being available for awhile, I think most people were just checking the classics catalogue where it appears locked behind the sub.
